Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

This is my first actual online game that I LOVE,
I can relate, although as far as competitive online games are concerned, it is the second for me. I have played many of them over the years, but it wasn't until Mario Kart 8 and now Splatoon that I truly enjoyed competing in online games. Praise the Wii U!
I'm curious what everyone else highest scores are
That is a nice score. My highest is 1200ish ^^

yo that final boss. YO THAT FINAL BOSS

also, sickest non-platinum credits in a while. so chill. also didn't last an ice age.

My high score so far

I'm curious what everyone else highest scores are

1255, 5-0 at Lvl 10

BUT

As I stated moments ago, I lost one at 1177, 7-0. Had we won, my high would have been 1477. My best results so far have always come with using Jr. Currently at level 14.

If the game fails in America but does well elsewhere, I wonder if they're going to realize it's because they priced it higher here.

There were 7 people lined up outside my backwoods, middle of nowhere Gamestop. All of which bought a copy of the game and few Amiibo. There's usually only a crowd that large for stuff like COD.

I think it will be a success. Not COD large, obviously, but I think Splatoon will be inline with something like Hyrule Warriors.

Chargers are awesome but they're kinda useless on Turf Wars. They're very good for killing people but you should find a tall place and stay there, which means that you won't get enough points. On the other hand, roller is good but you get killed so easy. I think splattershots are pretty much the best weapons. Pretty balanced on everything.

Also, I still want a mode that the objective is to defeat the opponent(s). :(

Motion controls feel great to me. You're using the right stick the majority of the time, but then use the gyro to be extra precise with small movements when you need to aim at an enemy or thing. They work pretty much exactly as I expected.

Gonna hop back onto the game as soon as I finish up some of the things I needed to take care of today, but god damn it's all I can think about. I just wanna roll, man.

Am I stupid or are most scrolls just really well hidden?

Nah some of them are quite well hidden. You kind of get a feel of where to look after a while though.

Before shooting off from the ink launchers, take a look at the platforms around you and see if you can spot one that looks out of place and has the small crate on it. You can usually spot them before you get to that part of the level.

Plus, whatever gimmick a level is using (sponges, fans, invisible platforms etc) usually ties into the scroll.

Yeah, I've been using the Splattershot weapons most because they feel like they can do well in almost any situation in Turf War. I'll keep what you said in mind

Use gyro controls for starters. Rest is fonding good positioning mostly.
Gyro helps that much, you think? Suppose it won't harm to try them out again

I found all of them at my first try. :P

They're not that hidden but you just must be careful of your surroundings. Some of them are under a normal level, others in a box that's on a weird place... There's no need to rush, just explore a bit.

Haven't played too much yet but I have the weekend free thankfully.

Really enjoying it and keep hopping between single and multiplayer. Very disappointed at the lack of modes and co-op options. I haven't followed any of the Directs as to not spoil stuff but was sure there was a local co-op mode or play online together option. There's only 1v1 local play which isn't very fun.

Loving the music, the different feels of the weapons and of course all the colours. I do feel like the game can be a little un-fun if you end up getting camped and pushed back, not sure if there are any comeback mechanics for that.

Also I'm having bad luck recently with my HDD. I sometimes lose power when the game saves and this only seems to happen with disc games I have like Splatoon and MP10. Dunno if anyone else has this problem. I'm using a Y-Cable as well.

Everything about this game is amazing. I love playing the game of course, but even just hearing the music makes me so happy. Customizing my Inkling is also really fun.

Part of me kind of hopes...it isn't?

I mean, it's a good game, and I obviously bought it, but I took advantage of a Best Buy glitch to do so. Making it a full price game when the intention was clearly to sell it for less probably shouldn't be rewarded.

The challenges are based on story mode levels. You need to complete the story mode level so that you unlock the amiibo challenge level of it.

I see, thanks!

I'm still hooked playing online I probably won't play single player much right now, but at least I was able to get the 3 pack!

I'm only a LVL 3, but loving it so far. Playing late online last night consisted of probably half of the lobby with Japanese players and I'm in America.

Connecting via wifi and not a sign of lag in sight!

This game has so much charm and character. It all flows so well together.

OK, I got a really weird connection problem, I cannot play two online matches in a row. If I join an online game, the first one will go flawlessly, but the second one will definitely get disconnect in the middle, anyone have the same problem? It is really annoying.

is it full price in the US? Here I paid 35€, which it is definitely worth.

I played a few with Ammo and Soul Lab (I was Wake). You're both pretty good! It was fun.

In Arowana Mall or whatever it's called I'm sure I won the match with a crazy run near the end haha.
