The sale thread will go up shortly after said sale has started, in case anyone was wondering.

I thought summer would give me more time to clear my backlog, instead I somehow have less time than during the normal academic year. I love my gf and I'm taking summer courses to earn some extra credits, but my time is now more accounted for.

Hoping for some good sales on jrpgs and at least 5% off on gta5. That's all I need to pull the trigger. Looking for a bunch of co-op discounts. Will grab D4 on the last day if I haven't burned through the $42 in my steam wallet and the roughly $70 of my budget.

It's what we all say. And then the sales hit. And then the GF or even BF goes to second or third place. And then reality hits. And then we coast on GAF when we are supposed to be clearing a backlog. And then School. Cycles.

How long does the summer sale normally last? Two weeks? Or less?

I've about 10-15 games I'm keeping an eye on. I'd like to see a good discount on Elite Dangerous and Homeworld Remastered. >50% if possible. Not sure it'll happen though. And no way am I buying them if they're only about 25% off.

10 days, or a week-and-a-half. The 21st will be the last day, with regular programming resuming on the 22nd.

Oh man, :( I thought it was the general rule price keep decreasing over time? If I wait long enough the Skyrim DLC will get lower than the Skyrim GOTY right?

There are technical issues that prevent Bethesda from doing that. :(

(Not really, but I'm sure that's what Pete Hines would have you believe.)

1000+ hours in MS Paint.

Fucking ace.

Is this the earliest date for a Steam summer sale? I am relatively new to this in terms of years and the first couple I experienced was into the 2nd week of July. For selfish reasons I wish it was true of this year too.

I trimmed my wishlist from 125 to around
115
games so I have at least tried to make an effort...
Virtual cobwebs all over my non-played games.

Anyone know how good the Dead Rising 3 port was? I seem to remember a fps cap and poor performance at launch? Although I could be mistaken

God damn I can't wait to buy 30 copies of Bad Rats for 18 cents each.

The game runs rough, but I don't think it's the port that's the problem. The game engine just feels it's choking on zombies. What's more important here is that the game is boring and a waste of time.

Oh, and you can remove the 30fps cap with a simple text file.

Are they allowed to do it, though? I see it happening every time before Black Friday. I saw something regard a Fair Trading Act in this topic you linked but seemingly it's for New Zealand only.

It's illegal in most of Europe too.

I have 6 pages of cards...should I sell them, trade/buy some and craft what I can, or turn them into gems?

I have a couple of those mystery cards too.

I'm guessing we don't know the best strategy or what's up yet?
