Ok after installing KOTR2 and the completion mod when I get into the prologue the camera just keeps rotating with both the controller and mouse and keyboard. The only way to stop it is if I right mouse click. Can someone please help me with this?
Sounds like your controller is causing issues.
Unplugged my dual shock 4 controller and it stopped. Wtf why add controller support if it breaks the game?
Is the DS4 natively supported by Windows?
No...i think you have to use a program called DS4Windwos or something. Unless its changed.
Added back into the game by TSLRCM.Was about to go to the last area and suddenly I'm playing HK 47 in a random building? It literally went from massive end game event to this with no context. Guess I have to finish this area to escape?

That section was awful. It was so difficult - and so boring - that I used cheats to get past it. It completely killed the pacing of the end game, too. Not sure why it's a default inclusion in TSLRCM whereas the droid planet is optional.
What about Input Mapper? I thought everyone moved to that since it's the sequel to Ds4WJust a heads up, DS4 Windows loses a key function in Win 10 currently.

Its supported by Windows. You have to use ds4windows when games don't support it. Other than camera spinning the ds4 works in kotor2.

The biggest problem with the droid planet is that, unlike the HK factory, the game is perfectly complete without it. The puzzles on that planet, all the plot points, etc. were moved to other planets and the game is very intact without it. It's a nice little diversion for die hard fans of the game, but it is truly cut content that was meant to be cut, as opposed to "holy shit we have to release this game in two weeks" cut content.
So I think I'll install this and play the game again this weekend. Which mods are you guys referring to that complete the content? I'd like to add those in. Also tempted to skip Peragus... Hrmmmm...
Plus it's just outright terrible. My last play through died on that planet it's just that bad.
Just got a 1.1mB patch, what was fixed? Guessing they just replaced the a file for people who had the upper/lowercase bug?
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop...37937/541906348059098329/#c541906989398612721Aha, so it is! Excellent. And yes, it looks like that does indeed fix the issue. I wiped out my steamassets/localized/english dir, downloaded the update, re-subscribed to the mod, and was able to get beyond the prologue and into the actual game!
Taking a quick closer look, the mod does still get lowercased on the first run of KOTOR2, but the file-loading code in the engine must have been updated to properly look for the lowercased version.
Thanks, Aspyr, for the patch! And once again thanks to the authors of this mod as well.

I booted this up just now and the only resolution showing is 1280x720. I need 1920x1080. What gives?
XBO controller seemed to work fine though.
Yeah, the way it's currently designed is absurdly tediousbut it's also the main attraction of the mod. And it's worth it to hear all the fun dialogue and bring a ton of closure to the HK plot. But it is a slog, especially if you don't spec HK-47 out just right.
Because the Droid planet is way worse. Could've done without the bad fandub and the area is littered with repetitive and long winded fetch quests. It's the only area in the game where I cheated and used fast walking cause of that one fucking corridor you have to reverse like a million times. The lore gained from the area is best just read or summarized in a video, playing that while side level was such a chore.
Any way to get 5.1 audio working? The game is meant to support it but I am only getting audio from the front.

Got a macbook pro late 2013 version. What are my chances of running it?
Runs sims 3 really well if thats any consolation.

So, has Kotor 1 ever been updated? I tried to play it last year and the lack of widescreen REALLY bothered me. If not, I'll just skip it and play Kotor 2 (which I also have).
There are ways to make widescreen work. I played KOTOR 1 in widescreen a few years ago

Awesome. Thanks. I just installed an ssd a few days ao, so I guess I'll make these games my first to play though.
Also, one final uestion, where is the best place to get the content mod for Kotor 2?
Thanks in advance, gaf.

The controls are fucking garbage. Mouse does not scale 1:1 where I'm clicking in the menus, camera spins around endlessly.
Resolution is all fucked up in the cutscenes, like its all zoomed in on the upper left corner.
This shit isn't worth $5.
And there is definitely no 4K support, 1080p is the max option. Might have to ask Steam for a refund.

If your monitor's maximum display resolution is 1080p, then you need to make adjustments at the driver level to enable 4K.
