I just started back-up today after I stopped playing after the Dark Below. I do have some questions, what are the keys I get from the reef used for? Do I still need exotic shards to upgrade my exotics? Also, I had the bad ju ju bounty and I know I didnt finish it before I stopped playing but it was complete when I logged in today. Did that happen for everyone or did it glitch?

Exotic Bounties auto complete for any Year 1 weapons
Yes to Exotic Shards (for year 1), maybe for Year 2 weapons ...
I assumed TTK was part of the 18 gig patch we already downloaded
so if I buy it now I can download everything I need on time for Tuesday?
You should if you don't have bad speeds. Took about half a day for me but was because everybody was getting it on Tuesday.

They said before the codes would be separate. That kills my plans to sell the vanilla Destiny disc and the first two expansions' code.

Yes. Levels don't matter for most playlists.
Yes and no. Your weapon is basically the only thing that matters in Crucible, so you need a solid weapon to be able to compete well.

I really want to know the answer to this too. I hope it will level up at leaSt on of them. Just started a Titan recently and I got to level 34 and still haven't fully unlocked Defender yet.

Bounties, daily activities, Crucible, focused light, public event packages. Everything. There is no fast way(unless the upcoming one-time boost will work on subclasses too) . It will be a grind.

If he's from the UK it's actually cheaper to buy the physical legendary edition than it is to buy TTK digital standalone. I'm guessing that is the case.
Motes of Light would be the quickest way, wouldn't it?
Motes of Light don't give you exp.
Doing daily bounties are great ways to get exp.
You can use motes for
weapon xp
Engrams from Xur
Faction exp
and i'm sure a couple of other things also.
To clarify better motes don't give you subclass experience

I played at a friends house yesterday because I was considering buying the legendary edition after the game was my biggest disappointment of the year last year.
Game hasn't changed. It's the same pointless grind. The multiplayer is still awful. The game design is still grind and repeat.
I guess to me this game feels like a bunch of boxes to tick off and meters to fill but the process of doing that isn't much fun.
I can't ever get into mmo games for the same reason. Games are always kind of a waste of time, but for some reason destiny makes me care that I am wasting my time.

How did your city fair? For mine, It looks like basically every store that isn't located inside a mall will be opening at midnight. Since Gamestop uses pre-order numbers to determine if a location gets to do a midnight sale, I take this as evidence of pretty strong retail demand for The Taken King. I'm curious to see if and how high it will chart on the NPD, since a lot of sales will likely be digital upgrades.

With loot being fully RNG dependant with no likely drops from one mob to the next it puts me off the long term playing of the game, I can understand repeating a mission or strike but when the reward is fully random no matter what event you run it puts me off caring for the end game.
TTK is suppose to be getting boss loot drops at some point like unique armor pieces but it's not enough, xur selling exotics like free candy every weekend ruins the point of hunting down that cool item.

Understatement. Finding all of it is one thing, but making it readable and cohesive is time consuming. Original layout was too clunky, but once the templates were in place for this I had a good pace going. It's fun when I know what I'm doing lol.

Unfortunafely now. You wanna be light level 140 ish for vog, 150ish for crota, and 160 for most other high level conent. You can get by otherwise, but its not easy. You probablr need to collect some better gear.
Ive been speculatng that level tarabslated to lght level by 5x so level 30 before is close to light level 150 now i think

To be fair the game is pointless right now. It's stuck in this limbo land between year one and year two.

Has anybody been having bad connections lately? IDK what it is but lately alot of my games have had a lot more lag and I get the trying to connect to Destiny servers popup all the time when I'm playing. I play on a wired connection and I have a pretty good internet connection so what is going on? What can I do to fix this?

I've been getting disconnected left and right. I was about to finish level 35 Prison of Elders for the first time ever last night when I got disconnected. Had I not already pre ordered TTK, I would have never played Destiny again.
