Is there anyway to turn on locations markers so I know which area in the pre rendred backdrop are accesible. I remeber it being a feature on the ps3 version.

The PS Theme this comes with is perhaps the greatest theme of all time.
FF7 is a treasure
but dont many ff fans consider FF 6 to be superior?
what are your guys opinions on that
i want to know how to exploit the slots in the golden saucer arena.also.. one major thing has changed. we can't just hold down the button to attack anymore. you have to mash it. oh well lol

Man, just played for an hour and my goodness have the years not done the background any favors, lol.

Random but is Aerithusu's default name here? Is she still Aeris? Aerith?
Oops haha.Oops, that was wrong info.
No, that's a very vocal minority. Final Fantasy wouldn't have nearly as large a fanbase if it weren't for Final Fantasy VII. Some were put off by the switch to PlayStation or the move to 3D but FFVII is overall a much more sophisticated and impactful game. That's not to say FFVI isn't a masterpiece in its own right but even the creators who worked on both games are on the record that VII was a massive leap forward over what they accomplished in VI.
Sakaguchi said the previous games can be considered puppet shows compared to FFVII.
Oops haha.
So I don't have to worry about getting all the non-summon materia or the enemy skills for the trophies right?
Strange. The backgrounds are the part I think still hold up.
anyone have a good refresher on a missable items list or something?i'll check gamefaqs later i guess
i remember my main master file on PSX... i missed Barret's final weapon :O god missing that haunted me, I put probably 200 hours into that file and still had no idea why I couldn't find it... didn't even know where it was until I got internet access about a year later (28k haha) and figured out i permanently missed it Q_Q
It's a weird thing to complain about, but built-in cheats might have ruined it for me.
It's not like the game was ever hard (outside Weapons, that is) so maxing out HP/MP isn't that big of a deal, but fighting normally is a waste of time when you can just press a button and LB something dead. I'd have that on the back of my head through the game.
The speed up is the best feature added. I don't think I can go back to the PS1 version now.
does SE participate in PSN flash sales? i want to get this but my backlog is so long....ugh
So I just launched this, what's up with the black bars at the top and bottom? I of course no why they're there on the left and right, but why are they there at the top and bottom? (They're not huge, but they are noticeable...)
Any word if it was retranslated?
Holding it down works for me.The real question is why did this take so long?
