Here's some recent picks I got:
I'll start with the bottom row. Do you know Cing? The guys behind Hotel Dusk and Last Window? Their actual first game was a detective adventure game that mostly played as an interactive movie, and its localized version was only released in Europe under the name Glass Rose. A good pick since it's an interesting game and it's becoming rare to find.
Assault Suits Valken is not a particularly good pick, however. It's a remake from a SNES cult classic we know better as Cybernator. Very awesome game. Problem here is that these fellows at Psikyo screwed majorly by remaking the controls, which in turn screwed up the whole balance of the game. A shame, because Cybernator is really expensive and a good budget priced remake on the PS2 would have been much welcomed.
There isn't much to be said about Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance because it's not that obscure of a game. It's Snowblind's first action RPG before they made Champions of Norrath which followed a similar formula.
Now though we enter the domain of the horror genre, first with Project Zero 3, which our friends from the other side of the pond will know better as Fatal Frame 3. It's the final send up to the first two games' stories, though some will not like how that trilogy concluded. It's starting to become rare to find and thus leading to price hikes. Should have grabbed it a couple of years ago at the very least, but oh well.
Secondly in the horror genre, we see Kuon, From Software's attempt at making an horror game. Surprisingly good, but it's also becoming pretty rare to the point months ago I couldn't find a copy under 90€. So I spent a week searching everywhere, and suddenly found a seller in France who had it for 17€ but didn't ship internationally, which led me to find just anyone within the country who could receive the game and basically smuggle it outside of France in a very nerve wrecking experience. Good times.
Speaking of France, that on the top left is a French promo copy of Shinobido, a ninja game that is very similar to the old Tenchu games on the PS1. Sadly, it has much of the clunk of its predecessors as well, whereas the Tenchu series actually improved the experience in its PS2 offerings.
I hope you guys enjoyed my many words about some PS2 titles that aren't particularly known.
