Bingo. It's not great but I can have fun watching the first one. Considering it's from Anderson that's quite an accomplishment on his part.
Anyway, I've got the splatter Prometheus score and the blue Take a Look print from Bottleneck (thanks to Ironrinn for posting those) so I'm pretty happy. Now if we could just get Alien and Alien 3 scores from Mondo.

Dark Horse collected all their Alien stuff into omnibuses a few years back. The first one collected three early series that, at the time, acted as a sequel to Aliens with Hicks, Newt, and Ripley but at some point they changed the character's names to generic people to account for Alien 3. I think they changed them back at some point but am not sure.
That's probably a good place to start and I think they're like $25 for 400 pages or so normally so if they're on sale it's a pretty good deal.

The biggest problem I had with the movie was that info dump about the Predators and ancient humans. That was fucking stupid. Also, Lance Hendrickson was the bettet Weyland. That speech he gave to Sanaa's character when she discovered he sick was very good.

The initial black and white series is.... meeeeeh okay. Both it and the Aliens six-issue follow up in full color offer good side stories (kinda what-ifs before Alien 3 was a thing) but they're only mediocre in terms of story, lore, etc. Beautiful artwork but the same stupid pratfalls every time-

This set of Aliens Vs Predator tho-
Contains the best AvP story in all its shared universes, bar none, stop. 80s machismo sexism aside, its plotting, action, and colors are perfect. The ideas it presents about both species? Priceless.
This one Dark Horse Presents comic dedicated to Aliens also has one-to-three (depending on your view) of the best stories in the xeno stuff as well- the Propagation of the Species- which is also included in the recent omnibuses I believe.
I wanted a pair of those high tops since I was five, so I figured I'd try to buy a pair. Surprisingly, I was able to add a pair to my cart. Not so surprisingly, I ran into issues. Everytime I clicked the checkout button, it reloaded the page and gave me an error. After several attempts, it then went out of stock in that size and cancelled the order. The size lower, however, was in still in stock. I then added those to my cart and the same thing happened again. I tried different browsers and the mobile site, but it wouldn't go through. Those soon went out of stock and my ordered was cancelled again. After an hour, they were completely sold out. It seems somehow orders were able to get through, but I don't know how. Checking Twitter, it looks like I wasn't the only one to have issues. It's bad enough the US only got 36 pairs of the shoes (of the ~400 worldwide), but to screw up the ordering process is even more frustrating.
That's just for the high tops; there were at least 1,986 mid tops available...unless you were in the US. They weren't on the website at all. I don't know why the run was so small either. Given the fact that they released various versions of the mid tops in multiple runs for the past thirty years, it seems there's at least some demand for them. Reebok even said the high tops were "their most request shoe." I would think it would sell well enough to warrant a larger run. People at least want a pair enough to pay $2000 for them on eBay.

Anyone know if the list of theaters showing the films is complete on Alamo's site? It seems the closest theater with a showing is 3.5 hours away.

I do like Prometheus but I pretend it's got nothing to do with the Alien franchise. It's a much better movie that way.
I was going to say it was a monthly thing, but it seems they were more frequent for a couple of periods on there. Looks like it stopped being updated months ago though. I hope so many people continuing to discover the game on GAF is indicative of continued sales. Maybe it'll encourage Sega to make a sequel.

Except just shoot it rarely ever quite worked out for them too well, did it?
A huge part of what makes the Xeno scary in the first movie is the fact that they, for some reason, have no weapons on the ship. Also, "just shoot it" gets a few people killed in Aliens plus leads to the entire colony exploding

For me what's amazing is that even with a big group of grunts with big damn guns, they're so scary, formidable, and calculated that said grunts still got fucked and were no match. This displayed them as highly dangerous and tactile creatures.

I was actually jumping between this one and the one i bought, ended up liking the posing on the one I bought a little better. They are both super badass though and best of all they werent at mondo so I had a chance to actually buy them.
