Well, you're getting better value for money ;)

Yeah I'm not complaining, heh.

I just
recovered the bombs
and I'm level 24. I think I might be able to finish it it without restarting. The manequim is crazy overpowered, defeated
Carlito in the van
in like 5 hits.

Also, am I the only one who gets Yakuza vibes from this game?

Week after launch and DR2 & DR2 OTR are still broken on PS4.

This shows how much QA was done on playstation versions. They didn't even try starting up the games.
Absolutely disgraceful.

And shame on me for believing that capcom guy here. I knew something was wrong from the beginning since they were not showing playstation versions.

They just take time to load from my observations. Have you left them running for a few minutes?

Yeah, you have to wait 5-10 minutes on what look like frozen screens in order for the to start up. Can't really blame anyone (or myself, initially) for thinking they flat out didn't work.

I was playing coop in DR2 with a friend yesterday and the game crashed on me during the 2-2 case. Afterwards, my friend's game crashed less than an hour later. Also, my friend got flung stupidly high into the air OoB by Slappy and we just called it quits for the day.

Fucking shameful port (at least the PS4 port), tbh. DR1 is the only one that is acceptable at the moment. I've defended Capcom's RE and DMC4 rereleases but I'm not buying any more remasters day-one from them until I hear from others if they even work properly.

So, I have finished all the cases.
Now I have to wait until the helicopter arrives? When the time comes do I have to go back to get Isabela or can I just go around having fun?

You can horse around for the most part (though make sure to not get killed by special forces), but there is one more thing you will have to at 10 AM in order to secure Overtime.

Only in overtime mode. You get ending D I'm pretty sure if you get busted during 72 hour mode.
Nah, that's 100% not the case. You can still break free after being captured during day 3.

You know, the game is more fun when you're maxed out. I don't know if thats a good thing.

A lot of moves are gated behind high levels you won't reach without grinding or playing NG+. But on the other hand its kind of an RPG and it makes sense.
Having just pulled an all-survivors Saint run off from a fresh save without abusing the strongest items like the mini-chainsaws or beverages like Quick Step, I feel it's at its most enjoyable when the game demands you cope with various restrictions. Resorting to meticulous planning - be it routing survivors or finding value in a multitude of weapons like gems for crowd control - whilst tippy-toeing around zombies who are actually threatening is such a rush when you're succeeding against the odds, and earning those powerful abilities like Disembowel in spite of those hardships along the way makes it all the more gratifying. Playing like this just reinforces how much depth (if the 70+ page guide didn't convey this already) there's hidden in the overall concept, especially when there's numerous ways to tackle a given situation based on one's creativity or own preferences.

All the while Dead Rising is still open-ended enough for different types of players to make the kind of experience they want out of it. It's great.

How exactly is DR4 going to be a character assassination?
Dead Rising 4's Frank West looks and behaves nothing like the original's, to the point 1's may as well be the anti-thesis of the exact type of character 4's take on him turned out to be.

take it i should just play the damn game rather then following a guide first , want to get all 3 games but there almost 80 bucks

how printed versions are there of the official guide are there for the game ?

Browsing screen shots on steam and wow there are a ton of early game low level guide readers with the female mannequin. Reminds me of Dark Souls and the drake sword. Really depriving that true Dead Rising experience.

DR2 is broken? This solidifies my decision to not buy it then.

Just starved 5ish hours into Infinity Mode by a Carlito/zombie stunlock duo. Who thought this boring piece of shit mode would be a good idea?

When a mistimed jump (after not having saved for a while at that) escalates really quickly:

Shiiiiiiyet.

I beat Overtime mode.. dunno what to do now

go for cheevos I guess?
All-survivor challenge run from level 1 onwards without employing cheese tactics (blender drinks, mini-chainsaw or mannequin torso with magazines et cetera) if you want a change of pace.

Snowflake is sooooo annoying.

I'll just ignore him/her Serves him/her right.

invincible frame jumping attack Asshole

There are 2 approaches to this fight.
You can actually tame Snowflake. You need 3 pieces of meat. And you need to kill Ted first. Or you can just kill Snowflake. There is a powerful gun on top of the island in the casino where the fire pit is.

I once encountered a glitch on the PC version in which Snowflake
joined me as soon as I entered the fight and helped me maul Ted to death.

Easiest way to kill ted is to walk back to the back room behind the staging area for snowflake where there's a combo weapon room and then beat his ass to death with whatever you have. His health bar is small as hell, and snowflake can't go through the door.

So is it normal that Capcom is claiming all these copyright claims on my youtube streams? I don't really care because I don't even know how to set it up so I would get something from it, I just do it for the fun of it.

Either way im just gonna keep on streaming lol :p

What's broken about DR2? I've been playing it (on PS4) since launch without a single hitch. Crossing my fingers now that I've jinxed myself.

All the claims I got were for Gone Guru :p Seems typical for licensed music.

DR1? I'm sure some of the achievements actually unlock items and clothes so are kinda worth doing.

Zombie Genocide achievement (the 53k kills one) unlocks the Mega Buster which will make getting some of the other achievements much easier. It's a bit of a grind but it's worth it.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
How many in game hours does it take to unlock genocider?

Not that long. It takes a playthough so around like 6 or so hours (IIRC each day is 2 hours?) to get it. Depending on how fast you ram the zombies into death, it shouldn't take more than like 2 days (4 hours) to get finished. In fact, doing this on a new game/fresh save is probably the best way of leveling frank since every 10,000 kills or so you get 20,000 PP or so, and then every 50-100 you get 500 PP.

7-day-survivor is the more tedious one.

definitely genocider first, since the Mega Buster will make Saint easier

Until
you shoot one of the survivors in the face/body while they're running in front of you like idiots.

Surprised my 970 and i5 4460 can't mantain 60 fps in Dead Rising 2. It drops to 50's in some places with many zombies. Is the performance in Off the Record any better?
