If I recall, the Iron Galaxy thing was just a troll from Discord.
I been FGCgaf since 2011 breh. Its just that the death of Mahvel 3 and the rise of Dota 2 made me switch allegiances.
Have been 2x as many times at EVO as Dota's TI though, so the flame is still alive. Mahvel needs to light the fuse and make me explode

Context: Friend sorta works in the game industry. Is also a gaffer. Also travels to locals and local majors for tourneys.
What he said happened: He was at a social/work mixer and overheard a conversation he wasn't supposed to.
What I believed happened: He probably heard some FGC members talking conspiracy theories at a tourney and bought into it.
So I've kinda known this since Oct 7, but didn't post because AFAIK it was the first time someone mentioned MvC4 and the info would be specific enough to loop back to him. I didn't want him to get fired, or worse, have my GAF account banned for spreading FUD (lul).
But now that everyone and their mom is hinting it, maybe my friend was right all along. :O

Combofiend has the background as well as the mindset to be a battle director. Super intelligent and has the ability to think several steps ahead to know if something will make sense or not.
Just because you have a competitive background doesn't mean you can be a battle director; you need to be able to balance the game and make decisions that are best for the game. Most competitive players wouldn't be able to look past what they think is fun long enough to make a game worth playing for the rest of us.

Also, the 'Dave Lang' in my screenshots isn't referring to any Iron Galaxy involvement (I know the rumor is coming from that Discord post). I just said it as a joke because Lang's a character in my head from all the stories I've heard of him on Giantbomb's stuff.
Its probably Combofiend as battle director and some third party studio (Eighting or even IG) making it. I'm okay with Combo, but I dunno how I feel abt Iron Galaxyh

No the actual rumor is not weaksauce. What we are shown is not all of the info, the mods have the info. If this was weak sauce then it would have been shut down a long time ago.
What I am trying to suggest is that there is more information out there that people are not sharing. Random images of people's phones pales in comparison to this.
