The Last of Us Part II announced

^ I can easily see her losing that knife early on. Unlimited shiv throughout the whole campaign seems OP as hell. That is, unless they totally revamp the crafting gameplay loop.

Man, every little update from now until the game's release is gonna make my day. Still can't believe it's actually happening.

I can see a lot of the crafting from the first game coming back and the shiv will not be unlimited to keep things challenging.

She's getting in character.

Ok, so I was playing TLOU when the sequel was announced. I didnt watch the trailer till I finished the game (I rushed and in 2 or 3 days I was ready for that). I forgot about the expansion and read about the theories behind TLOU2. So far so good till I read some things that are from the expansion lol so I finally played the expansion.

Its amazing, I love it. You need to play differently because you are now a little girl, not Joel. The story is great, you get attached to the characters, so much attached that you end up enjoy doing stupid things with them (have you ever smiled after using an escalator before?). Ofc I new what would happen but it was still shocking and made me feel sad for that, because you just have a connection with the characters that I dont remember having with any other game.

Other than that, I must say that TLOU has much better TENSE moments comparing with Uncharted. On U you just need to time some jumps or do some QTE, while in TLOU you need to run, hide, shoot, reload all at the same time sometimes, you really feel like you need to DO something, not just be sitted in your couch and wait till the next button to press shows up on your TV. Its even surprising that after TLOU they came back to the 'boring'' events of U4 - to be clear: U4 is amazing as well, but we all already know that if you are climbing something in Unch and something starts falling you dont need to worry you just wait and press a button and everything is fine. when you are watching its great, looks like a movie, but when you ar eplaying its not that great. On TLOU its the best of both worlds.

I cant wait to play TLOU2. I guess it will be a 2018 title, I hope it comes the S1 as U4 did, but they will probably hold it till the Holiday because its such a gem.

So how long before I get to play as Cassie Drake?

2-3 years? :(

I didn't like TLoU, but I like the Uncharted Series. Not trying to junk up thread, honestly curious as to how far out that "theoretical" game would be.

It's always possible I'll like TLOUP2...of course.

Now that I am thinking about it I dont think alot of people would dig the idea however since this almost has a godfather esq type of feeling due to the name of the game etc I wouldnt mind if they went that route with it either. In Godfather Part 2 the story was shifted back and forth between Michael and Vito, and how their lives somewhat paralleled and drifted apart. I know Ellie is the main character in this game however I wouldn't mind a random break or shift into the past with Joel, and his character being young through the outbreak because there is such a massive gap. A story that ties the two together due to actions they both made in their past and see the paralleles and differences in the characters especially now it seems Ellie is in control and pissed about something, much like how Joel was when he was young and brash as well.

I was thinking about a similar story structure, except the parallel stories would be between Ellie and her mom, Anna.

Or maybe a prologue chapter that centers on the tragic events that led to Anna's death shortly after giving birth. Having to say her goodbyes in a note to baby Ellie is pretty fucked up when you think about it.

If you're hoping for one from ND, probably never.

With TLoU, they never explicitly stated whether of not they'd make another, but with U4, they said that was it for them.

I'm not sure we're going to get much (if anything) since it's so early.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the game was absent this year. I certainly doubt we'll get any sort of gameplay reveal. Especially since Naughty Dog's focus at the moment appears to be on Lost Legacy - which I feel like we're far more likely to see an extended gameplay demonstration of.

If those pictures are legit, and based on a certain easter egg...

My predictions for TLOU Part II
I say Ellie gets pregnant, has a baby, then the fireflies take her baby to run experiments on. This obviously pisses Ellie off, especially if her baby is dead because of this, so she vows to find and kill every last one of them

They could tell the relation between Joel and Tommy and how they broke their relationship and tie that with whatever Ellie is turning into.

I love this as well, we know her mother dies but from what was never understood. What if we play as her mom in flashbacks then ellie in the future. Maybe the firefliues killed her mom which we see, ellie finds out and wants vengeance

Genuinely one of the worst most nonsensical story ideas ive ever heard.

Someone saying something is the last means about zilch. Every actor who plays Bond pretends each is their last, for example. It's just part of the game, it helps build hype for when the 'surprise' is dropped.

I'm sure it was.

Ok

That picture is the same as the one in the epilogue of U4

Ellie looks pregnant in that Easter egg, right? So if this is anything to go by, I think it's totally possible that the fireflies took her baby to try and come up with a cure. That's what they tried to do with Ellie at the end of TLOU. In TLOU, they needed Ellie's brain to try and make a vaccine, effectively killing her. If Ellie had a baby, maybe they figure they baby is immune to the cordyceps as well.

I don't see how it's so ridiculous.

Except there's presedence of Naughty Dog not working on franchises forever and them moving on to new things past the 3rd or 4th game. And considering every one of their franchises has been a hit to Sony, Sony ain't gonna force Naughty Dog to linger on Uncharted either. Naughty Dog is far more likely done with Uncharted for the foreseeable future than not.

Lol... did you play TLOU? She was almost raped by David.

Wow...

There's a difference between an implied threat and having their first female protagonist actually get fucking raped and then carry a rape baby to term only to have it kidpanned and experimented on jesus fucking christ. What's wrong with you lol

Wow...

You consider the possibility the figure on the comic is Ellie's mother?

What's wrong with me? It's a freaking prediction, dude.

Naughty Dog planted an easter egg of a pregnant Ellie in Uncharted 4. Why is it out of the realm of possibility that she'd have a baby in TLOU Part II? Why is rape off limits when the story of TLOU part 1 was already pretty damn dark?

Again, no one has confirmed that woman in the image as being Ellie.

Wait wait wait wait, there's a sequel to the comic? I need this ASAP.

This is like The Road depressing.

It's not just dark or depressing, it's bad storytelling and gross.
