Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Yup, people like that are scum. Look at all the time wasted in negativity when he could be playing and sharing something he likes?

Nah, cause it's about the clicks and ad revenue. Negativity is easier, it's tribal. To poke and foster a small, angry, soulless minority and use them to make a buck is easy street compared to making content people actually want to watch and enjoy.

what's the easiest way to do the sturm quest? i need to get 10 kills of multiple enemies without reloading and 10 powerful enemies.

do i need a fireteam for the next part?

I did it near the exodus black. Dregs die with one headshot. And during the servitor public event a fallen ship will keep bringing yellow bar explosive shanks.

for what it's worth i've just been doing whatever i want and having fun.

finished the campaign at 20 (214). after that just been running around doing public events, adventures, lost sectors, looting chests, strikes, and a little crucible. all the while i've been redeeming tokens for engrams.

it's not the most efficient way but i'm having fun. i'm not interested reading in depth guides.

Unless you're itching to do the raid asap, there's no need to rush. Play whatever you feel like and you'll climb.

Thank you both. I guess I'll just chill and do it however.

Wonder how long before this first raid is solved.

TLDR: I guess I'd just say, I don't know, it just felt like at times they started to gravitate back towards that gameplay that defined Halo, with that extra pinch of something (Gear, powers and supers) that comes from Destiny's universe. But then just kept stepping back into mediocrity.
That's fair. I think they put a lot of effort into supplementary (non-story) content, sidequests, exploration and world-building that might for many players have been better spent on the core campaign.

For me, the balance really clicked. I definitely don't think it will for everyone though

gets a little aggravating when people who do next to nothing in Heroic Public Events get the Exotic or Legendary Engrams...basically rewarding them for just showing up

Definitely not underperforming lol. We had to wait in line to play on launch.

D2 had a huge drop from D1 in the UK retail and in Japan retail. That is all the data that I know about. I know there is digital and that is a small sample but it is all that I have heard so far.... where is the sales brag from Activision?

I'm a big fan of looter shooters with recently getting into Warframe after Boaderlands. I never did play Desinty tho. So I'm on the fence and still waiting patiently for the reviews to complete so I can make finally decide.

I watched this. I'm sorry I did now ☹️

It's funny that I agree with almost everything he said about the game, and I'd add the writing is not that great and some of the humor is forced. But this is one of the most addictive games I've played and close to my GOTY since I haven't put any time into PUBG.

What I'm trying to say is that I agree with him with the campaign being stupid easy and a joke, but I don't agree with the game being trash. It's quite obvious that Bungie wanted the game to be fully accessible, and the weekly quests like Nightfall, Flashpoints, Shaxxfall and Clan rewards are there so even players who can't put in much time daily can level up and get exotics on a regular basis and stay relatively on par with hardcore players.

For the hardcore, prestige raid and prestige nightfall will give them the challenge they seek. There's something there for everyone

Guys I'm so excited to raid blind. I basically watched others do it and jumped in later for every other one. I mean I'm not expecting to fully finish it but this is going to be fun.

From the maker of The Destiny 2 Beta is boring and Stop defending Destiny 2 here comes his new masterpiece! Destiny 2 is ajoke!

Are we going to get a sales brag from Activision for D2 or is D2 underperforming?
It's underperforming in several international markets, but we don't know performance in other markets or the digital share of sales, so it's hard to gauge the extent of total underperformance. I'd wager that it's likely down 20% or more, based on the massive hype cycle the previous game had (years of trade shows, massive ad campaign) and how vanilla Destiny ultimately disappointed gamers at large.
Don't want to drag this thread fully into sales speculation, though.
I'm really enjoying D2 so far. I have a hunter at LL282 and a Titan (supposedly my alt lol) at LL291. After I raid and nightfall on both of them, I'm gonna finish leveling my Warlock. I'm just worried now that I'm gonna run out of stuff to do by week 3 lol

Yea there will definitely be some type of PR brag speech about D2 sales lol

Underperforming in certain areas? sure. But this game has sold and will continue to sell a lot of copies.

And it still has another platform to launch on...

Japan never really mattered to western games and the UK is embracing digital.

Everything is fine.

It's a lot of fun... provided you are playing with the right people who have the right attitude. It's decidedly not fun if you're playing with people who get frustrated easily or who like to call out others in a negative way.

Also how many people are waiting for the PC version? I'm sure it's not an insignificant number

This is true. 1.2 million concurrent players before PC release is pretty damn solid. Double dippers will be a big thing as well, especially among the crowd that likes to play with/against streamers (D1 streamers will be double or triple dipping and PC focused variety streamers will be picking it up for at least the first week of PC release as well).

Anyone able to the 2 patrols, pub events and crucible matches for this annoying ratking stage?

PS4
What's your PSN?

I'm happy to help, I believe it works if I just have the gun.

Just try to make sure that you lay out the kind of attitude/atmosphere you are looking for. If it's laid-back, do what we can, mess around and laugh vs. only people who are looking to get it done and take it seriously vs. we are trying for world's first literally don't join unless you are 300+. Makes a huge different in the full group's enjoyment.

Hey everyone! I have a group running the Raid at around 5pm EST and we need three more.

We understand it is day 1 and only require that you have patience. I'm a 291 Titan and we have two Warlocks at similar level. If you are not already in a clan, you are free to join ours for the clan engram :)

We are on PS4.

I'm game if you need a 284 Titan. And don't sweat it, I understand we'll likely wipe over and over :)

So I'm about 220 power level now, and having a great time. But its my understanding that I need to stop turning in quests and tokens until I get to 260? What else should I be doing/not doing?

I'm not worried about 100% min maxing this game, but I don't want to screw myself and be stuck in RNG hell for months like vanilla destiny 1

Well if you...

Then do whatever you want lol

You won't be stuck in that manner, I promise. It's tuned extremely differently.

Your vendor rewards will scale with your Power up to a max of 265, Milestones well beyond that. You can use them whenever you choose. IMO, in the 240-250 range is a good time to burn some for some cool drops and a boost toward 265 putting you in good raid position.

No. Turn in everything at this point except the milestones which reward "powerful rewards". Turn those in on Monday night before the reset to maximize your gain.

I'm trying my best not to rush it, but I want to be done with the campaign so I can get into the meat of the grind lol. Very weird because I hate grinding typically. D1 had the best grind in any game i've ever played.

if the raid doesn't feature a giant psion and/or a giant warbeast, then i will consider the leviathan to be creatively defunct and bungie a bunch of hacks.
