Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has (so far) hit an all-time peak Steam CCU of 12,138 users

Absolutely do not agree. Microsoft chose to launch Gamepass, and chose to put Indiana Jones on it. I think your definition of 'failure' is outdated - you're using old metrics, and whether you think Gamepass is a good thing or not is irrelevant - as long as Microsoft offer it as an option, it is undeniably the best offering for the gamer to play Indiana Jones, over paying $60 on Steam for it. Presumably, if Gamepass doesn't work for them, they will stop doing it. It's literally 'their business'.

I haven't bought it. I would have bought it. I might have bought it on Steam if Gamepass didn't exist. I have Gamepass so I didn't need to buy it on Steam. I have Gamepass so I didn't need to buy it anywhere. It's part of my subscription, and the best game I've played this year. I am very happy with the situation.

Not sure why that is hard or weird to understand.

there was not high enough interest in India jones to being with (on steam on any other platform). it's simple.

but what if you find this even more boring than a third person shooter? just walking around and when combat begins i dread it.

I get seen in the vatican area and the entire armed forces attacks me lol
Dont get seen by people who can see through your disguise.. that wouldnt change in third person

Starfield peak CCU is way higher

Why?.... repeat after me:
There was not high enough interest in Indiana jones to begin with

Indiana Jones ain't selling 10+M nor bringing 40M new GP subscribers.

It's simple to understand

Makes a little more sense when you don't butcher the grammar... Still nonsense though.
You are valuing your own opinions way too highly. Just thinking something doesn't make it so. Like I said in my first comment, wait for some facts before trying to project such confidence of failure.

but when i try to hide after getting seen i cant get rid of the alert meter. So im screwed and have to start over? this is essentially SW outlaws.

The third person obsession with this is strange to me also. Plays so well in first person, and the switches to third person when they happen are at the right times, and feel pretty natural.
There is only one transition that annoys me. When you step off a ledge backwards to grab it. I always think I'm falling to my death and then it very quickly cuts to third person Indy grabbing it.

Pretty clunky.

Full disclosure: I got this game as an unlock with a graphics card.

I could not get into this game. I bounced off 5 minutes after starting the game, it took me twice that to download it.
Overall just very disappointed with the game presentation.

I am thinking about giving it a try on my other rig with a keyboard and mouse VS using a controller.

Does anyone have any impressions for KB&M play? Does it feel any better than it does on a controller?

The entering/exiting water transitions are sometimes clunky as well. There's a chase scene later in the game where I had to review video of my gameplay because I had no idea what happened. One second I'm running for my life and the very next second I was swimming underwater. It was so jarring.

i can write in Spanish if you want. 🤷🏼‍♂️

the data is right there tho. Indiana Jones performance (even accounting for GP sales cannibalization) is way to soft. which signifies lackluster interest. (as well as the previous mention, softer pre-order numbers).

what i am saying it's not an opinion, it's just a logical observation based on info and facts.

you talked about using outdated concepts and/or old metrics....

i dunno what to tell you, but have you been following what's happening with Xbox recently, especially their game releases and latest financial report?

No? You can get rid of the alert meter, just stay out of nazi's sight for I don't know 30 seconds or something? Maybe even less. I've hidden from some enemies after being alerted and if they cant find you they will go back to their normal state

Anyway, once you get the disguises the stealth is quite easy, then you only have to be concerned with the commanders

It was weird, i was under the floorboards hiding and they still saw me i had to beat like 4 people up for it to go away.

it just seems messy

You know, just thinking aloud, what are the chances this game gets PSVR2 support? The first person perspective is a given so they would just need to do a workaround for the times when Indy goes into third person.
Practically Zero.
Other than Flight Sim, MS actively shuns VR. They have VR capable titles on PC gamepass that the only way to know that they have a VR mode is to launch them while steamvr is active. They own VR PC titles like Skyrim VR but they are only available on Steam.

Lol I'm quite the opposite there, I think it's a cool little streamlining of tactile traversal and I think other games should implement it.

Forspoken had same ccu on steam
LYQO4dQ.png

+ it probably sold much better on ps5 which was it's main platform.

And it closed down that branch of the studio in 3 months.
Indiana was probably also astronomically expensive and is showing about the same numbers.

Tomb Raider or Assassins Creed? Make up your mind.
I did, clearly.

This, unfortunately, is the kind of low IQ posting we've come to expect from what remains of the Xbox stalwarts.

At least it's on-brand I guess.

I have no allegiance, I like pointing out the hypocrisy of using steam numbers. So many of you are so salty that I did, too..

That's an odd comparison. And on-rails? You sure you played Uncharted?

Positive. Its was highly regarded, so I bought the trilogy at the time, couldn't get through the first one due to how boring it was. Sure, it looked great, but there wasn't enough substance.

Forspoken was available at launch on PS5 and PC subscription services? I don't remember that...

subscription services are not game sales.
We don't know how many people bought Gamepass because of indiana jones. Hence I am simplifying it.
PC ccu = pc ccu
ps5 sales = gamepass sales

seems about fair enough and probably generous to GP.

Ah yes, people are so so salty that this is what you're deciding to use as a point of reference:

But please, don't let anyone here being salty stop you continuing to make a fool of yourself.
I play mostly on PC, although, I have a Switch and an Xbox for BC but never buy new games for it. The kids use it as a Roblox machine. I've also owned a PS3 and a PS4 at one point and enjoyed quite a few games. But PC has always been my thing. Icarus, Baldar's Gate 3, Rounds and Killing Floor 2 have sucked up my time lately. Other than that Sony games are all graphically great and have great production value, but the gameplay falls short from time to time. Luckily I can pick the best games for both Xbox and Playstation on PC. But as for Uncharted, surely, time wouldn't affect such a timeless piece of software.

Lmao.
Heard good things about it, but unfortunately Indiana Jones is not for me, i don't like the franchise, i found all the films to be overrated and mid, i saw the trailers for the game and it looks like some first person movie game with marvel dialogue and cookie cutter gameplay, and i hate the franchise and the character in it, so i figured i would never touch it.

Cool life story.

Does anyone know how (or if it's possible) to enable full ray tracing on the game pass PC version?

It's locked out unless you have hardware that they deem to be capable.
The fuckass is that?

I know my 3080 would chug at PowerPoint-levels of performance, but I still wanted to try it out. Is there any way to force it?

Playstation is this games biggest full price market. Depending on word of mouth this will live or die from the ps5 launch day performance.

It seems like I heard this story at least a hundred of times. Do you all copypaste it from somewhere?

A quick google turned this up:

At your own risk of course.

Aw nuts, this must have been for a previous build. It doesn't wanna launch.

Oh well. :(

Ah...ok. Well....to each their own. I thought it was really good. Uncharted 2, however, was fantastic, imo.

Key difference is reception. You ever heard of the term "sleeper hit"? Word of mouth has work to do and it will. There's no way this Indy game won't have a sequel greenlight. If we're being real, this is essentially Microsoft's new Halo, or the nearest thing to it.
