and should they have autonomy over their own bodies?

Kid inside the woman is not part of her body, it's a new human. Women can even be pregnant with children not connected with them genetically at all (surrogates).

Meanwhile, elected officials get voted into office and immediately start cutting taxes for themselves and their billionaire donors and friends. The culture wars are largely a smoke screen being used to distract the 99% while the elite 1% slowly rob the country blind.

Now this is 100% true. Most of the stuff that gets talked about in media is just distraction.

died after

Chronologically after, not because of.

Other than the execution of the unarmed protestor -whose family the US Government has since reached a settlement with, and who has had her military honors restored- J6 was pretty tame compared to your typical leftist protest.

I don't follow the news that closely, but if you have any links to events where a supporters of a specific political party tried to storm government buildings in an attempt to violently overthrow the free will of the people and votes of the general populace, please share them with me.

Evidently.

Pretty incredible when you think about it that tens of thousands of the most heavily armed civilians on the planet trying to violently overthrow something all left their guns at home and managed to kill zero people. What are the chances. If only the mostly peaceful protests of the left had turned out like that.

"Zinn was charged with obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony."

What a dumbass

If someone wrote out this assassination as a movie, with a mormon shooter in love with a trans furry roommate, coordinating his attack on a Helldiver discord, and this rando old man distracts police out of the blue so he could run away, AND if the chest plate ricochet is true, damn, no one would believe it. Even the worst episode of NCIS, 24, or whatever never reached so far into absurdity.

And a lot of people call those that still can't acknowledge an election and support overthrowing a democratically elected government, fascists. That's why people sometimes bring it up in a conversation about political extremism. This administration pardoned many of them, and just indicated that they're going to allow Ashli Babbitt to be buried with military honors; the woman smashing through a barricade to get to elected officials protected by security over and over until she was shot. It's pretty relevant. It's basically the burial rights version of cheering her on and saying she was 100% justified being a violent extremist. They continue to deny the results of the election, verified repeatedly and litigated in dozens of court cases. They continue to make comments indicating that they don't respect any aspect of democracy and may go further next time.

Imagine if a democratic president led a mob to the capital, indicated over and over that the whole process was illegitimate, talked about the people wanting a dictator, and then started pushing massive redistricting of election lines in multiple states while deploying the military to Washington DC and multiple other cities? People on the right would immediately pull out their Don't Tread on Me flags and their 2nd Amendment granted stockpile of arms to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. Literally. That's what the 2nd amendment is for. People really can't play around with not acknowledging elections.

It's honestly a miracle that Mike Pence, and a few people within the Trump inner circle managed to ignore him and hold the country together at all. That literally is the breaking point. He was blocked repeatedly by republican judges, republican governors, republican appointed generals, and people he hired in his inner circle including the vice president.
Oh, I can do this too. Imagine if a democratic president had their entire four years undermined by a made up accusation that he was only elected because of Russian collusion and that he was an agent of the Russian president. Then also imagine when election time came, that a piece of evidence that would have affected the outcome of the election was deemed to be also Russian propaganda by the same people who said the other thing was real. And then after the election, it turns out that the evidence was real, and polling shows that a decent percentage would have voted the other way if they knew that thing was true or existed.

Here's the TLDR on the assassin's court appearance today.
  • Tyler Robinson, 22, is set to appear in court today for the first time after being arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10.
  • The Utah County Attorney's Office is expected to formally announce charges against him at a news conference at 2 p.m. ET.
  • He is likely to be charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice in connection with the shooting.
  • Robinson will make a virtual court appearance later, at 5 p.m. ET, if those charges are brought.
  • Kirk's death caused an outpouring of grief and a determination to carry on his conservative message from political allies, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

This has nothing to do with what I talked about. You were discussing Jan 6th. I then also discussed Jan 6th.

I have zero interest in your left v right brainrot and excuses for being a fascist apologist. It's legitimately going to get people killed and you really can't ignore that forever. The bedrock of peace in the entire country is the peaceful transfer of power and democratic elections. Nothing about that is partisan. Like I explained, it was stopped by Republicans over and over, including the vice president.

Not first degree murder? Seems pretty planned out.

One day a healthy police officer reported to work to perform his duties, was beaten within an inch of his life and pepper sprayed, and then died from natural causes?
He wasn't healthy, wasn't 'beaten within an inch of his life' and did die of natural causes.

You could look into this yourself and take it as an opportunity to reflect upon how easily you have been manipulated into believing and repeating lies.

So, which fascist am I apologizing for? January 6th has a lot to do with what I said. No president in my lifetime has been fucked with more than Trump. Clinton was the 2nd, and it was not even close. Holier-than-thou Republicans thought they had a gotcha on him. Turns out, some of them were doing the same shit as him, just not in the White House. Also, I am not calling anyone here names, but you are, so I can already see how you discuss things.

We'll see in an hour when they formally announce the charges. Usually they go with a lesser charge so prosecutors have a higher chance to convict.

I'm guessing that's why the terrorism charge was drop for Luigi today.

Never beaten though, that was 'fake news'.

****************from wiki if you wanna believe it
There was no evidence that Sicknick had any injuries or an allergic reaction to the chemical spray, according to a statement by the medical examiner months later. Sicknick texted his brother on Wednesday night after the attack, reporting that he had been twice attacked with pepper spray and was in good shape. However, Sicknick later collapsed around 10:00 p.m. at the Capitol and was taken to a local hospital.
***************

These clots can happen. Pepper spray is not strongly associated with clots, but may be with vasoconstriction*, perhaps exacerbated an underlying pro-thrombotic tendency (there are some fairly common genetic diseases that make one more likely to clot, but rarely in an artery).

I wonder what the chances are that he doesn't get the death penalty.

Figure it out yourself, if you're capable.

He wasn't. He was bear sprayed (twice). He didn't have any injuries. The stress might have killed him, but it wasn't a reaction to the spray or any physical attacks.

Aggravated murder is a first-degree murder with additional factors or circumstances that make it even worse. Killing of a law enforcement officer in the line of duty, killing a child or a pregnant woman, killing multiple people, killing motivated by hate and bigotry, murder that includes torture before or desecrating the body after, or other horrible examples are all considered aggravated murder. These each have a factor that makes them even worse than more basic first-degree murders.

It is common for aggravated murders, felony murders, and first-degree murders to also be considered capital murder because of the associated sentence they carry. If the punishment is life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, it is considered a capital murder.

Govt website indicated he was killed in a line of duty, I wasn't there nor have first or second hand testimony to back up any claims, so I'll leave it to the official statement

aggravated murder is a higher charge than 1st degree murder
and above that is double dog murder, then the ultimate, TRIPLE DOG murder!! I can never figure out these varying levels of "more bad" murder, even worse when they throw in hate-crime stuff as if that makes 'regular' murder less bad.

Ok, well the medical examiner reported natural causes, and found no sign of external injury, so very much not 'beaten within an inch of his life' unless that somehow happened without leaving a mark on him.

How is it not 1st degree murder? It wasn't like he accidentally brought his gun and shot him, right?
"One of the defining aspects of a second-degree manslaughter or murder charge is that there isn't any sort of plan or premeditation on behalf of the killer. Even if they intend to kill someone at the moment of the crime, it may simply occur in the heat of the moment and isn't something that they planned out in advance."

yeah idk how this isn't first degree murder.

Don't forget about double secret probation murder?

I don't know how the various categories of murder work in New York but I do know that the celebration of Luigi Mangione committing murder on the left is quietly as disgusting as their celebration of the murder of Charlie Kirk but somehow no one really cared at the time

What a ridiculous thing.

Brian Sicknick collapsed after engaging with rioters during the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. He was initially reported to have been struck in the head with a fire extinguisher, but this account was later disputed. The medical examiner determined that Sicknick died from two strokes caused by a blood clot, classifying his death as natural.

Months later, however, the Washington, D.C. medical examiner reported that Sicknick had died as a result of two strokes, classifying his death as due to natural causes,<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Brian_Sicknick#cite_note-Natural-13"><span>[</span>a<span>]</span></a> but later commented that "all that transpired played a role in his condition".<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Brian_Sicknick#cite_note-Aruna-9"><span>[</span>9<span>]</span></a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Brian_Sicknick#cite_note-MedExaminer-4"><span>[</span>4<span>]</span></a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Brian_Sicknick#cite_note-14"><span>[</span>13<span>]</span></a> The ruling was criticized by some expert neurologists, who argued that stress resulting from the insurrection at the Capitol may have caused the stroke.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Brian_Sicknick#cite_note-15"><span>[</span>14<span>]</span></a> The medical examiner found no evidence that Sicknick had an allergic reaction to the pepper spray.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Brian_Sicknick#cite_note-Aruna-9"><span>[</span>9<span>]</span></a>

It doesn't copy over very well from wiki but it's a little disengenuous to not have more of the context in this unfortunate death. Correlation, sure, causation, harder to ascertain. But no suggestion of physical assault and pepper spray is a "non-lethal" device not strongly associated with strokes. But the guys that sprayed him went to jail for it and rightfully so.
You can right click and use the "paste and match style" to get rid of those span tags et al when pasting from wikipedia

It's so funny (actually, no) that the Left media have been lecturing us on how dangerous the Joker movie was because incels and stuff. Fucking hell, the irony. The projection of these cunts is on another level.

Incorrect, a police officer at the capital died after being assaulted and pepper sprayed, he suffered multiple strokes and then died the next night per this information on a government website -

It wasn't because he was pepper sprayed. He had a blood clot and the strokes were caused by the clot leading to his death. Now maybe the stress of Jan 6th that caused the clot to release.

I think multiple things can be true at the same time in that Jan 6th should never have happened, the protest got out of hand. The Capitol was opened from the inside. Local DC judges abused their powers and sought maximum penalties for what could have been misdemeanors. There are multiple instances of agents being fake arrested and released by capitol police. It was not a coup attempt. People tend to lean a certain way on Jan 6 based on political affiliation. The officer that shot Babbitt could have defused it a different way, but if was under duress he has a right to defend the capitol.

We should not get into a back and forth on JAN 6. We should discuss with words the egregious state of the country where countrymen no longer think they can talk to each other without the threat of violence.

We don't need people to take up arms like John Brown, we need people to have reasonable discussion and disagreement. The country is divided and it will not stand internal division like this long.

Agreed on all fronts, regardless of how the officer ended up meeting his demise, I think we can agree that in some way, political extremists contributed to it.

I think we can agree that trying to violently overthrow the will of the people is a bad thing, and mike pence, regardless of how you feel about him, didn't deserve to be hung.
