I'm surprised that none is saying the obvious yet: that the killer was targeted and recruited by this group. A troubled fanatic young with easy access to high caliber weapons, from a hardcore republican family (so the crime could be blamed on weapons and republicans). He's a perfect profile. That's how islamists recruit future terrorists.

The Trump-Russian collusion is a fraud.
So vote them out. You guys did. Has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

Any disagreement, any discourse, any desire to work out any differences without violence entirely depends on peacefully transferring power, following election law, and conceding elections when those legal options are exhausted.

I really wish Kash Patel was an actual FBI agent instead of a Trump fan who got his position because he's a Trump fan... He can't keep his foot out of his mouth

So this could mean that there are only two people under investigation, or over 100, or that its a facebook group, not discord, or its a sewing circle, not even online. Kash has zero credibility to be a mouthpiece for this investigation. Guy needs to appoint someone to do this and go back to his office.

Agreed on all fronts, regardless of how the officer ended up meeting his demise, I think we can agree that in some way, political extremists contributed to it.

I think we can agree that trying to violently overthrow the will of the people is a bad thing, and mike pence, regardless of how you feel about him, didn't deserve to be hung.

Ya he didn't deserve the threats and the treatment the extremist gave him. I think he is somewhat feckless and useless for the republican party. But at the time he was great. When the country had Decorum Pence would have worked well there. We do not have it anymore. I do think in my own personal opinion that there are a lot of instances in the 2020 election that can put in doubt the accuracy of that election. As a nation we should encourage every state to go back to paper ballots, remove all voting drop boxes, and provide safe and secure elections. Nothing about elections should be done in secrecy.

I always thought the main ideology that caused people to hate DEI initiatives was because it put people into jobs that they weren't qualified for, which is puzzling for me, because hiring your inexperienced friends into key positions in the government violates that same principal.

Political extremism and gun violence is out of control in the USA.

When maga crowd lost the 2020 election, they stormed the capitol, killed a police officer, and had plans to kill elected officials, including republican VP mike pence who opted not to illegally overturn the election results. The group could be heard marching around chanting "hang mike pence". Interestingly enough, I don't recall any liberals calling for all out civil war at that time.

Tensions are running high, and the general discourse in the country has devolved into hot topics such as, what is a woman? and should they have autonomy over their own bodies?

Meanwhile, elected officials get voted into office and immediately start cutting taxes for themselves and their billionaire donors and friends. The culture wars are largely a smoke screen being used to distract the 99% while the elite 1% slowly rob the country blind.
It's the "summer of love". The BLM protest was directed at the 3rd-party civilian damages when the cause is a Democrat run police department. The Jan6 protest was directed against the government.

Patel has a criminal justice degree and is a lawyer, former federal prosecutor, and has served in national intelligence. He meets the qualifications, it's not like Director of the FBI is an internal track within the Bureau. He is certainly a political appointment, like they all are. He isn't even the youngest. Hoover was TWENTY-NINE!!!

I've listened to interviews by people who have come out of these fandom spaces. One was an autistic kid (~20 years old) who was pulled into a furry group at a young age, I think they were a bit of a loner and possibly gay. This group groomed him into believing he was trans and sending him down a bit of a dark path in a space where there were kids being groomed by adults. Some of these spaces are things like Pokemon fan groups, seemingly innocuous shit, but enough to build a wall around and establish hierarchies of power and control.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to find that there was some network involved in this who have a number of kids pulled in and groomed with attention and worse.

I hope there's a very thorough and deep investigation into every possible lead because anyone with strong enough motivation could find an army of highly influential candidates in easy reach of a keyboard or phone.

Maybe to some extent. But people usually know their friends better than complete strangers. A person hiring a friend or someone he knows really well is a lot better than checking boxes of ethnicity, sexuality and gender and letting that affect your choice.

Knowing my friends better than complete strangers =/= best qualified to do the job. So yeah, it's the same result. Not the same thing, sure, same result, yeah to that too.

Wut?
Why would you wind up the feds if you were taking kiddie pics around in your pocket?
Maybe is his defense that he didn't know the shooting was gonn ahappen.

"See your honor, WHY would I have my kiddie porn on my phone if I KNEW I was gonna get arrested after being a distraction for @furrybom.....errrr, I mean this defendant guy I've never met before?"

4D chess master, this guy is!

Harassing?
Bro shes just walking with her phone already filming, putting teenagers on blast with the address in the caption where you can find said teenager that is getting paid min wage to enforce shitty retail policies set by people who try to stay as apolitical as possible because they are in the business of selling as much sugary coffee to the most amount of people possible.

All in the name of pretending that you are trying to "honor" CK's name by putting his name of your coffee cup. All this leads to is them changing their policy to going back assigning orders to numbers instead of names because we are baboons incapable of acting like civilized people.

Count 1: Aggravated murder

Count 2: Felony discharge of a firearm

Count 3: Obstruction of justice - moving a firearm

Count 4: Obstruction of justice - disposing of clothing

Count 5: Witness tampering - telling a roommate to delete text messages

Count 6: Witness tampering - directing a roommate to stay quiet

Count 7: Committing violent crime when children are present

Apparently Kirk put out his favorite starbucks drink at one of his questionnaires, so folks are ordering it to honor him. Why WOULDN'T a starbucks just put whatever 'non vulgar' name you gave them? I don't go to starbucks though, is printing a name a common thing?

The rest of his life will be miserable and he's only 22. He did it all for nothing lol
If he doesn't get the death penalty someone will stab him inside. He'll be too high profile, they won't even need to be a Kirk supporter or even care either way, he'll just get targeted by someone wanting to make a name for themselves.

I imagine he'll be in isolation either way. Like you said, too high profile.

Was the point of that video initially to be a video to show that they don't print that name to the cups, or to make a video of getting the name to the cup?
If it was the former, I understand your position. If it's the latter, I don't understand your position.

If she knew they wouldn't do it I can understand it being harassing.
If she didn't know I don't understand why it was harassing.

If you know she did know it beforehand, let me know and I will then agree with you.

I don't know how those Tiktok etc things work so I don't know if the text must be written beforehand on the video or if it's done afterwards. I assume the latter but could be wrong.

Nah, that is just good old fashioned nepotism.

Where do you get your news from? You should probably find a better source. The vast majority of people who protested that day protested (mostly) peacefully outside the capitol. Yes some idiots decided to break inside (one of them, a woman, was shot and killed), while others were let in by capitol police and escorted around as shown by video. The police officer that died did not die from the protestors, he suffered two strokes in his office due to a blood clot and he died the next day. The ME specifically stated that the pepper spray he received earlier in the day played no role in his death, which is why the two protestors who sprayed him were not charged with murder. The ME said the stress of that day may have contributed, but he had an underlying condition that was always going to be an issue which is why his death was ruled as natural. And since he died on January 7th, no police officers died on January 6th as Boo Who? Boo Who? correctly stated. You're the one who is in fact incorrect.

And while I don't contest the result of the election. There were many statistical anomalies, most notably the total number of votes. Trump broke the record (at the time) for the popular vote with 74M votes but somehow Biden managed not only to get even more votes, but 7M more (which represents a whopping 10% more), which is a huge difference. For reference, the 2024 election had a lower amount of total votes. So it's understandable that some republicans cried foul. Of course the US election system is a total joke, which was made even worse that year by COVID and mail-in ballots. The lack of clarity helped fuel the idea that it was "stolen". At the end of the day, if fraud happened, Trump was the incumbent and he can only blame himself and his party for not doing a better job securing the election and maintaining strict accountability for every vote. And if he wanted to contest the results, he should have ensured he had the necessary proof to do so instead of hiring that crazy woman who was gonna "unleash the Kraken" but unleashed only her complete incompetence. Pence did the right thing by refusing to overturn the results.

Well said.

I'm still waiting for the shoe to drop when it comes to the killer leaving a manifesto or any sort of publicly verifiable motive he left a trail of. Surely he didn't just decide out of the blue to see if he could do it for a laugh.

How many of the countless high-profile news outlets that claimed he's right-wing will issue formal corrections? We have his motives clearly stated to multiple people now, including the full text exchange. We even have the connecting line between his trans relationship, his increasing radicalization specifically around trans topics according to his parents, and his decision to make the shot during that particular question.

Lots of interesting details dropping.

"I will have left no evidence"

He thought he would get away with it.

Yeah I'm watching the prosecutor's conference. His text messages to his trans partner were read verbatim and present a very damning set of evidence and motive especially in light of the parents statements.

ZERO.

Because it isn't them it is commentators. And they can make any claim they want.

What the heck does an emotional connection have anything to do with a political affiliation?

He clearly said all he cared was about his "love", referring to his boyfriend that was transitioning.

And his motive was the "hate" that Charlie Kirk apparently pushed.
