Where do you get your news from? You should probably find a better source. The vast majority of people who protested that day protested (mostly) peacefully outside the capitol. Yes some idiots decided to break inside (one of them, a woman, was shot and killed), while others were let in by capitol police and escorted around as shown by video. The police officer that died did not die from the protestors, he suffered two strokes in his office due to a blood clot and he died the next day. The ME specifically stated that the pepper spray he received earlier in the day played no role in his death, which is why the two protestors who sprayed him were not charged with murder. The ME said the stress of that day may have contributed, but he had an underlying condition that was always going to be an issue which is why his death was ruled as natural. And since he died on January 7th, no police officers died on January 6th as
Boo Who?
correctly stated. You're the one who is in fact incorrect.
And while I don't contest the result of the election. There were many statistical anomalies, most notably the total number of votes. Trump broke the record (at the time) for the popular vote with 74M votes but somehow Biden managed not only to get even more votes, but 7M more (which represents a whopping 10% more), which is a huge difference. For reference, the 2024 election had a lower amount of total votes. So it's understandable that some republicans cried foul. Of course the US election system is a total joke, which was made even worse that year by COVID and mail-in ballots. The lack of clarity helped fuel the idea that it was "stolen". At the end of the day, if fraud happened, Trump was the incumbent and he can only blame himself and his party for not doing a better job securing the election and maintaining strict accountability for every vote. And if he wanted to contest the results, he should have ensured he had the necessary proof to do so instead of hiring that crazy woman who was gonna "unleash the Kraken" but unleashed only her complete incompetence. Pence did the right thing by refusing to overturn the results.
