Was a little worried after the gametrailers shock review, but since the other ones since then have mostly been 9 - it's probably great.

EDIT: And now EDGE comes in and...

Actually read/watch one of the reviews. Gametrailers says that Max Payne 3 is still very much a pop and shoot TPS. You CAN use the slomo dive, but in most circumstances it's a stupid thing to do.

damn, this can't be true, they must doing it wrong. Because previews gave a completely opposite conclusion.

After watching the GT review. Gotto say this game looks so cliche, typical 'mature' game with a crappy story. And the cutscenes look like they will make you throw up after a while.

That's really disappointing. I mean I knew it'd be this way, Rockstar doesn't have the chops that Sam Lake does but still, they could have at least tried.
 
As usual, watch the Gametrailers review only if you want to have half the story spoiled. And yeah with that disparity in score I'm guessing clickbait
 
I only care about single player so from the reviews looks like I should pick it up some time after price drops.
 
May pick it up on PC when it's cheaper as I never intended to buy it day 1. Seriously though, don't let the Metacritic scale tip you against or for buying it. I do get it if a game gets 3/10's across the board but it's obvious that it's a quality game.
 
I started reading some reviews, but I've stopped now. I don't want to get too spoiled or whatever. I'm getting it tonight, I'll judge for myself.

But it's getting good scores. That's awesome.

It's a shame there's a dearth of humour, especially coming from R*, one of the few devs whose games have made me sincerely laugh at loud over the years. Still day 1 tho.

From what I've read, if you trigger bullet time, any players visible by your model within a 360 degree field also enter into bullet time. Same occurs when any player triggers it.

Yup that's really a shame. I just knew it too. Actually quite disappointing indeed.
