Wait, men or women?

Women first. Than Men's eight later on which has a lot of UW rowers involved.

The women coming up is the quadruple sculls which is a four person boat. Two of them for USA are UW rowers!

edit: UW is University of Washington :D

For the quadruple it seems like Australia are the favorites with USA right behind them. China and Great Britain are also in the finals, so GB might even get a medal here :P

Ooh. A nasty injury in the mens field hockey. Might have to go off on a stretcher here. Well he's up, but it doesn't look like he can carry on.

Poor Spain! They had a player break his arm the other day.

daaaamn, almost every hockey match seems to have a horrible injury.

Women's beach volleyball alert! China v Greece just getting started and it's bikinis all round.

I'll be watching for a while before heading off to London for the Women's table tennis medal matches \o/

I though I was going to watch the cycling ITT all day. Turns out there are only 37 riders competing with a 90 second interval. It will all be over within 2 hours :/

Great. Tdf should shorten their starting interval as well. It goes on for way too long. You can also watch the ladies edition

Woah I just read about the badminton conspiracy claims from yesterday. Shady stuff indeed
The Chinese team losing on purpose?
The tennis match between Wickmayer and Wozniacki recently was amazing. There were like 10 chances for matchpoint, the advantage was going back and forth between the 2. Havent seen an exciting match like that for a while.
That was such an intense 20 minutes. Can't imagine that Wickmayer was unaffected by losing that match point.

I usually enjoy the ITT if the course is very technical and/or the favorites are starting throughout the entire day rather than just at the very end.

Table Tennis was pretty good last night. Chinese Taipai beat Romania very quickly and easily but Germany against Denmark made up for it with a great 7-set game. I'm going to a weightlifting final tonight and that will be the end of my Olympic vacation.

Funniest thing of yesterday? When the BBC interviewer asked the GB swimming relay team how much pressure did they think was on Phelps to win Gold. Their response?

"Well I think he'll be fine with his 18 other medals."

LOL Salt in its purest form.

Is your sole existence in this thread just to bait people?

Totally. I had a feeling she, Wozniacki, would lose it any second, but hoped she wouldnt. It was such an incredible struggle. Both were incredibly focused. You could hear how excited the crowd was.

I let out a big roar when she won. Fucking awesome.

I know that feel, man.

I'm gonna be in London for a few days but I only have one event so far.

It seems the vast majority of tickets they release are for the very next day. They put up tons of tickets for today, even. How the hell do they expect people to get there?!

man, the way the BBC schedule page is set up is just outstanding. So easy to navigate and see what live events are coming up and then just clicking to be directly sent to the livestream. stellar stuff there.

I really like watching Thorpe on the BBC.

Yeah, he knows his stuff and he's very eloquent. One of the better sportsman to pundit conversions, along with Michael Johnson. Amazing the BBC gets both of those.

The "look" beginning every sentence is annoying though, damn aussies.

I think it was a fair comment. It was funny - our guys had just finished 6th or 7th, probably a good result for them, but the interviewer was asking them how it felt to be part of phelps' achievement. It was pretty rude of the interviewer I think, and the snark from the British swimmer was more than justified

haha, yeah I love that, but yeah the BBC team is really solid.

Anyway Clank mate, let's get a gold today!

COME ON WIGGO

To be honest I don't know what I would have to do if I managed to get more tickets at this point. Is there a collection place in London? Print something off? E-ticket?

If only that schedule was navigable from within the iplayer.

They really get it though. not like nbc

When you buy tickets now you get two options. Pick up at the venue or print off ticket.
