BBC tennis correspondent said Murray played one of his best shots he's ever seen from him about 12 minutes ago. Rewinding to try and find it...

Apparently there's a scandal growing in the Rowing about lane preference due to the cross-wind.

Found the tennis shot.

He hits it around the net two inches off the ground. Begins at 38minute mark on the coverage.

Edit* doh, thought you meant his last point!

Helen Skelton is alright as a presenter. Or I'd do her. I'm not sure which.

One Show Matt has done a good job. Knows his stuff and really gets excited.

Helen Skelton wins gold for best British presenter. It is known.

As for TeamGB:

- Gemma Gibbons in the -78kg Judo Semi Final.
- Peter Wilson leads the double trap by three targets going in to the final this afternoon.

Could be a good afternoon!

Sorry, none of them know anything about the sports they present and it's very apparent. Bugs the shit out of me, to be honest.

Way out of their depth.

That's what the commentators and the previous olympians are for :-P it's quite nice having to have Mark Foster at the swimming all the time lol.

Matt Baker? Sue Barker? Jake Humphreys?

I'm sorry, how on earth did Jake Humphereys get that gig .. I think he's terrible. Matt and Sue are awesome though.

Rows and rows and rows of empty seats on Court One. Murray Mound is full. Why on earth don't they let them in?

By my rough count there are about 700 empty seats on Court 1 for Murray v Almagro. Remember, this is the QF of the Olympic Games
It's disgusting - massive patches of empty premium seats.

A major reason for this is that companies/sponsors have given tickets to top employees who are instead going to the huge amount of private parties/social mixers in the surrounding areas.

A Presenter + Sport Expert is a better setup in my opinion.

Having two people, or one sole person. that's an expert is not going to be good to listen to.

Someone who can do decent presenting, and show a bit of human emotion, and ask decent question of the expert they have is good, and Balding is pretty good at that.

Inverdale almost classing Silver and Bronze as failures, and handing back to the studio saying "sorry for no gold" just really pisses me off.

The only thing I would criticise about Balding is that it seems a missed opportunity not putting her with the equestrian. Maybe she'll be going over there once the swimming is done.

Edit: Murray's done. One win from a medal; two wins from it being gold.

I enjoy Jake as a presenter. I think he does a very good job at the F1. If you have ever read any of his blogs on BBC website, he puts a ton of effort into researching the sport he is presenting.

The tricky part with sports presenting - particularly in the Olympics with a lot of sports that viewers might not be particularly knowledgable amount - is asking the questions those viewers want the answer to. I think Jake's good at that.

I do think the BBC are grooming him for the future, isn't he the youngest presenter by some margin?

Jake is the BBC's Lineker replacement for when he gets too old/retires.

Actually tbh, Jake could replace anyone on the BBC team, the guy really is great imo. Just don't take him away from Formula 1.

Yeah. It was a big show of faith giving him the F1. I can see him on match of the day once Gary decides he is done with it/retire.
