Oh, that's a real shame.Twisted ankle just as the pole was placed. Went up half way then came back down hard.

What happened in the pole vault?

Same. It's being shown like a standard athletics meeting where they cut between everything. On the bbc channels they have dedicated channels for the field finals at least
Someone describe the pole vault--my stream speed is very slow now for some reason.
Ah right, fair enough. Not sure if you're joking, but if not you should really search for an interview Ian Thorpe did on the BBC regarding this. He said, for <17 year olds, personal bests mean absolutely nothing as the rate of change in their body is much higher than that of an adult. It's really not as big a deal as everyone is making it out to be.
Oh woah, so when the brits decide to stop, race had to be remade? Is that a rule for every sport now?
First the track cycling, now this.
That's the thing though, I've realised I like it this way. All the sports we're performing at have older athletes (rowing, cycling etc). I don't want the pressure of the Olympics on the shoulders of children - it seems very un-British.Then the UK should specifically train up youngsters in swimming then.
Why did they restart? That's not in the rules apparently?
If there are any material faults within the first 100m, then they can restart the race.
It's a standard feature of many mechanical sports.Oh woah, so when the brits decide to stop, race had to be remade? Is that a rule for every sport now?
If there is a mechanical fault in the first 100 meters they can restart. The seat I clearly broke so not sure what the controversy is.
I really don't think they have any clue because they're not in the boat. How about people in this thread shut the fuck up about false accustations.Rowing: commentators saying of equipment was not broken (and not simply loose), the team should be de-qualified.
Haha lolz. You so funny.
So if it's before 100m and something breaks, stop for a restart.
They had a decent start otherwise.

Home advantage.
The seat was broken on the British boat (he lifted it in the air before anyone accuses them of cheating).
What happened in the Cycling is a part of Cycling. Rowing is a completely separate sport that is supported by a completely different team.I fail to see the funny. This is what happened.
Screwing galore right now.
Obviously gonna break again.
I never fixed something that quickly that has not broke again.
IT IS GONNA BREAK AGAIN GB-GAF!!!
