I also like hearing sounds because it provides information about the shots (power, spin). Of course, it's impossible when the player is a shrieker (eg. Sharapova :/).

Serena played against much better opponents like Davenport, Hingis, healthy Clijsters, Henin, and Venus when she was younger. These newer players frankly suck compared to them.
