Quick question.

In the UK, we have Michael Johnson commentating or presenting on almost all track and field events and he's been pretty predominant on the BBC this, and previous years.

Surely for such a massive American star, he should be on US telly instead? Perhaps he's not as well liked over the pond in his own country?

Not that i'm complaining, I think he's great.

Because its The BBC.

What does it even matter the US lost? They've already qualified.

Were our starters even playing? I've not been watching.

NBC does not need old athletes, they got Ryan Seacrest

If it's any consolation, neither USA or Russia are playing like Poland or Brazil usually do, so neither is likely to even get to the final (and I know, USA beat Brazil several days ago).

We'll see. As you said, we beat Brazil a few days ago. It's all about momentum (which the USA just lost)

I'd speculate it's just NBC incompetence that they couldn't get him. He's very well liked in the US.

I'm embarresed to be American right now

1 gold from men's tennis doubles
1 gold from men's skeet shooting.

That's it.

don't be "embarresed", the USA is only one medal behind China and one up on gold. All other countries will bow before our massive penises before the end (except China, perhaps)

ultimately this is the only score anybody remembers in the end >:)

Because BBC coverage is god tier and he knows it.

Mark Cavendish, Ian Thorpe and Michael Johnson are great, and the BBC have pulled blinders in getting them (yes, I'm aware that Johnson has been with the beeb for a while)

The BBC is great with all sports at picking former players to be commentators.

Except football, in which they make awful choices.
