I knew one of these days the love for McKayla was going to come out.

And where the hell do yall get these pictures of them (us gymnasts/russian gymnasts). I feel like they wouldn't be found in news articles but found in creepy ways.

Anyways, tomorrow is my day of laying on my ass and watching streams all day long. woohoo

I wanna say we are going for the gold this time around but I don't wanna jinx the guys. :(

Seriously though, very excited about Mexico's teams lately. We've been winning everything or reaching the final stages in the youth categories, and an Olympic medal would only further reinstate that. Regardless of what happens today, I'm very optimistic about the future.

Maybe Levya will finally bring home a gold for US Men's Gymnastics.
 
Past 9AM and only one sport going on...this is a sign the Games are approaching their end...:/ On the other hand, everyone will be watching the same thing.

Any sport which requires someones view on artistry shouldn't be in the Olympics. Cycling, Horse Jumping, Athletics, Swimming(for all of its problems) at least have definitions on you have either won or lost based on data. While Diving, Gymnastics and Sychro Swimming should be out.

Artistic Gymnastics isn't going anywhere.
 
Looking forward to the men's 200 meter sprint in a couple of hours. Hopefully Martina will be great.

At the moment the Dutch hockey team is killing it against the Koreans, great match.

I don't agree. You never hear too many complaints about the subjective scoring in diving and gymnastics. It's sports like boxing, where you think it'd be fairly straight forward to determine a winner, where the problems seem to happen.

Dressage is a subjectively scored sport, but for me that's not why it shouldn't be in the Olympics. It shouldn't be in the Olympics because it has far more to do with the horse than the human body.

Agreed, but I'd like to add Boxing, Basketball, and Football to that list of subjective competition.
