I want to strangle the dude who keeps playing that dumb *trumpet sound* "OLÉ!" Soundbyte during the beachvolleyball matches.

The volleyball DJ is a fucking mess. He's acting like that shit is a monster truck rally or something. He's been doing it the whole time.

USA winning gold league and medal league. I am pretty sure now, having looked at the coming days competitions.

Had the chinese beach ladies and Lu Xiang performed today, they might still had a chance...but now, its pretty much finished.

GOLD AND SILVER TEAM USA!!!

Too bad Kerri/Ross but be proud that you can still wake up the morning after that loss as an American.

TEAM USA!!!!!!!!

Didn't one of them retire after the last Olympics? Seems like I remember somebody having to be talked back into playing this time.

Misty retired and Kerri got with a new partner. Then Misty decided to come back and they got back together. Hanging Kerri's new partner out to dry.

Edit: Fixed. Had it backwards.

So I made this post yesterday...

50% of British medalists were privately educated. Sport in Britian receives most of its money from the National Lottery good causes. This has been described as a "stealth tax" and the national lottery is often said to be a tax on the working class. So essentially the working class is paying for the privately educated middle class to continue with their sporting endeavours.

Disgusting. And that is why I hope these dressage pounces fall off and break their necks.

I'm going to start lobbying my MP to make more people aware of this and change the way sport is funded.

And Lawrence Somerset Clarke just come fourth in the 110m hurdles. According to wiki:

Lawrence is the son of Sir Toby Clarke, 6th Baronet and is the heir apparent to the baronetcy. He was educated at the Preparatory school Summer Fields, then Eton College, Berkshire. He studied Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Bristol, gaining a Second class honours, upper division (2:1).

He just thanked the National Lottery for supporting him. Now this guy isn't even middle class, he's about as upper class as you can get. Now I'm not angry at him specifically/personally (or any other privileged athletes that receive National Lottery funding), but does anybody think that it's right that people like this should be receiving funding from the National Lottery? Because I sure as fuck don't.
