Adidas' Team GB stuff is really nice, as is the officials uniform.

I don't know why you have to be so defensive. You people have some serious paranoia problem, nobody is hating or attacking your country. There was typical trash talk because US-GAF is so obsessed with the medal count (like people costantly looking for China to fail), but who started the e-penis contest is US-GAF. You can check this thread history or the past ones and you can see how many of us since the beginning have stated that the medal count discussion is stupid and useless, trash talking is not one sided, if you want to trash talk people will respond. So don't play the victim here.

There are judges too and they can can override a decision when a challenge is made by viewing a replay. But there are sensors, they're talking about it loads on the radio.

Thats because a head kick is anyway on the head a big toe on the chin counts as a head kick. Also in the helmet there are sensors. The only kicks where judges note are roundhouse ones.

The rules I read for substitutions were that anyone on the team could run in the relay, but once the team begins competition, they are only allowed to swap in 2 new athletes for the finals.

Also I cant believe after two weeks of awesomeness we are going to embarass ourselves by having the spice girls at the closing ceremony, unless it's a piss take as in 'lol this is what you all expected us to do!'

It's not his fault, it is the fault of the petty selectors who couldn't take that a British fighter outside of their training programme made it to the number one ranking and is the current world champion in the weight class.

It makes absolutely no sense to enter the world ranked 87 ahead of the world ranked number 1 fighter other than pettiness.

It's harsh on Lutalo who is probably a very competent fighter, but clear that the selectors made a conscious choice to try and sideline Cook because he turned his back on GB Taekwondo and gave up an almost certain gold medal to try and carry out some agenda.

They were the quintessential British pop icon for near a decade. They are the highest selling female band of all time. Millions of people grew up on them and they always projected a strong English persona, at least to the rest of the world. They were no American wannabes, they were influential and they had a massive impact on Western culture. In what way don't they deserve to be there?

To be honest, the whole music section was pretty tacky. I still enjoyed it, but I can't pretend it wasn't.

I found the NHS bit pretty tacky too, J K Rowling is the Spice Girls of literature.

But I believe, he has already those Olympic Records, so why not beat them when he can cash in some more? In 200m he clearly could beat the OR, maybe the WR but he chose to do the pose at finish line :)
