Try sparring with the TKD practitioner. I guarantee they just won't put their foot up your nose. The literal translation of Tai Kwon Do is...
"I'm going to stick my toe up your nose."

Kim Kaphwan is Argentino!Congrats to Argentina-GAF on their Gold medal!
Just got back in from being out in Cardiff. Had a bunch of Korean fans carrying around a MASSIVE Korean flag whilst chanting and beating a drum. Was pretty cool.
May have only been a bronze but damn did they know how to celebrate it. Shine on you enthusiastic Koreans.![]()

I just realized no European countries made the Mens soccer semi-finals. When is the last time that has happened?
There's gonna be a 50km racewalk. A marathon is less than 43 km.

Two days left
I had a lot of fun these past two weeks.
Nope. It's just the 20km course with 15 more laps. Will they at least finish in the stadium this time?
Old?
NBC is annoying me from across the ocean.

Tokyo probably wont get 2020 for olympics
for the 2016 bid, Madrid even beat out Tokyo. also the winter olympics are being held in south korea for 2018 so having back to back olympics both in the same region is unlikely.
It's not Istanbul, people. It's Constantinople. And yeah, would rather be held at Constantinople over Tokyo.
Its going to be sad when its all over, the press will go back to talking us all into deeper depression and economic misery, over the past two weeks business has been up nicely and most are happier imho due to not being bombarded by slit your wrists news headlines everyday.
That was my exact reason for watching the 800. "I ran this in high school...it must be interesting."Nobody cares about the 800 except for those who ran it in high school. It's easily the most awe inspiring performance this Olympics so far. My mind was blown when I found out that his previous world was done with a rabbit.
Istanbul would be my choice. It would continue the recent trend of picking more diverse locations from emerging countries, and the city itself is one of the most beautiful and interesting in the world.Hasn't been decided yet.
It will be either Tokyo, Madrid, or Instanbul. I'm rooting for Instanbul to get it.
Walking race on BBC three lol
The slo-mo's again reveal that really nobody has a foot on the ground at all times, i.e. everyone is running.
I just wanted to say, this. Why is that every time someone gets beat they chocked? Maybe the other guy was just better?
It's part of the race, there are judges to decide that. The slo-mo's again reveal that really nobody has a foot on the ground at all times, i.e. everyone is running.
Those race walkers look like road warriors, walking like heroes.

I'm pretty sure radiation lasts a bit longer than thatEight years from now?
NBC commentators were addressing that exact same issue just minutes ago. They mentioned that slow motion replay does show that most of the time these guys have both feet off the ground for a few milliseconds but the human eye can't detect it. He also seemed to be against the use of replay and then glorified the sport calling it "poetry in motion".
It's great.I don't understand the point of a walking race.
