As an Irish sports nut, I can say that I'm very proud of our boxing team, but the rest of our team need to improve.

Britain can and should be proud of staging an excellent Olympic games. They stepped up to the challenge, and they have blown away expectations.

Having access to the BBC coverage on Sky has been exceptional, and it may be hard to go back to lesser coverage in the future. Hopefully this level can continue & even improve by having condensed coverage shown when sport is not on live on the various channels especially when time zone issues come into play.

Congrats to Team GB. I remember when you guys struggled to compete, and now the representation and achievements by the hosts in so many sports have been a pleasure to follow.

Hasn't handball been part of the olympics since 1972? It seems to be only a lot of americans who never heard of it before and think it's the kid wall game.

I'm sure it's played elsewhere, but nobody in Britain had heard of it putside of it being a oul in football. Britain had never fielded a team before in an Olympics. It's the definition of an obscure sport here - or at least it was.

Well besides China and US didn't UK spent most money to sports during couple of years before these olympics because if was your home olympics? Well maybe Russia also spent more. Still of course you did brilliant when you compare to past medal counts but saying that British team had small budget sounds weird when there were only three countries with bigger.
