Never seen so much Olympic coverage in my life.

Thank you, BBC.

By the way guys, this is a very stupid question but do they sell a DVD that has all the events (or most) of them, including opening and closing? Did they do it with the beijing olympics? I missed a lot of the events because of the time differences (and work) so yeah....

Hopefully Paris will go for another in a while, give me another opportunity to attend one; the chance of it hitting the UK again in my lifetime is pretty low.

And now, back to reality:

  • 0% economic growth
  • Our political coalition falling apart
  • A murdered child's body underneath the police's noses the entire time

:(

MANCHESTER!

Seriously though, I don't see it happening for another 30 or so years and surely it wouldn't be London again. It would have to be a different UK city, maybe Cardiff.

What a thrilling few weeks this has been. I remember the joy the day it was announced (and the heartache for our fair city the following day). Seven years of anticipation - containing everything from hope to cynicism, and we totally delivered. The Park is magnificent, the Stadium looked brilliant. Everything was planned and pulled off to perfection. The Opening Ceremony was fantastic, the Closing Ceremony was just a party. And most important of all, the sport has been brilliant. Not just from Team GB, but all over, in so many disciplines.

There's a little tear in my eye. I think the next few weeks until the Paralympics is going to be the worst hangover ever.

It's finished. Thank you Seb Coe and everyone who helped bring the games to London.

BBC were stunning throughout, the BBC's London 2012 coverage is the new benchmark for Olympic broadcasters.

Brazil's 4 minute segment was very entertaining, I can't wait for their World Cup and Olympics.

Tokyo is most unlikely.

People are still afraid of nuclear radiation and Japan is still dealing with the radiation leak.

Istanbul/Constantinople will most likely voted for 2020.

If you're in the uk, the BBC Olympic website has all the events available to wtpatch until jan 2013

No.

It will never be topped, it is a masterpiece of design and engineering. The Japanese would have a good go at topping it but I don't see any other country making something like that.

As I said:

That cauldron really is magnificent. Both as a piece of engineering, what it symbolises and how it was lit. Good job with that one, London, you took us all by surprised.

The cauldron will never be topped.

People from around the world stanning the BBC gives me so much LIFE.

Please all be aware that this is an institution that the vile Tories are trying to dismantle.

The closing ceremony isn't starting until 8:30 PM and it will be cut to pieces on NBC. The United States should be ashamed of themselves for allowing filth like NBC carry the exclusive rights to the Olympics.

'Could we afford it?...probably not, was it worth it? absolutely'
I would like to believe suddenly Londoners will be so much nicer etc but yeah reality it is then
