I think Lara Croft deserves a really serious and down to earth story. Like imagine she is an accountant in a big London corporation and has to fight for her right not to follow dress code, so she doesn't have to wear heeled shoes in the office. Thrilling stuff, I'm sure you will agree, and a far more realistic representation of the sort of heroic struggles real women face than the absurd male fantasy of the "busty tomb raider". A concept which is deeply problematic at every level.

To be fair I think even the concept has a lot of potential even without the brand. Treasure Hunter films are always good flicks that can become very popular, there just need to focus on that aspect instead of the survivor bullcrap they pulled with reboot. Lara needs to be a badass, not a vulnerable girl
And they can start production of a new movie collaboratively with the game's studio, exchanging information so they follow a similar formula and then release cloth at an approximate window.

How about we just avoid your typical by-the-numbers action flick and instead we get a road trip movie where Low-Poly Lara, Boulder-Punching Chris Redfield, and Ugly Sonic venture to Hollywood so that they can pitch their new Tomb Raider reboot movie to a group of out-of-touch big wig producers. Along the way, the meet up with a hitchhiking John Linneman who starts documenting their travels for a very special episode of DF Retro.
