I read an article about the guy who schedules NBA games. Apparently, it's 1 guy and he created the software himself and no one wants his job because it's a shit ton of work. But dude makes a lot of money doing it, too.
A lot of people complain about the scheduling, but really this guy basically gets told that on X days Y teams must play and then to fill in the rest (like 95% of the schedule). He then has to coordinate with every Arena in America and try to figure out a schedule. Stuff like back2back are the result of Arena bookings in most cases.
