Rate yourself 1-10 re: how much of a sports fantatic you are. 1 being you couldn't care less and 10 being you live and die with each win or loss.

Hmm probably about a 7. I get excited and upset about games depending on outcome but it lasts till I go to sleep and then I am over it.

Edit:Also in addition to the game tonight there is the annual musicfest and because of that they are expecting about 110,000 within a mile of the stadium. While that might not seem like a lot for some here in Memphis that is pretty incredible.

I would have said 10 but that was before I saw a grown man cry when Purdue got knocked out of the tournament last year so probably an 8.5.

Can somebody replace the ball with glowing orb (or something similar)?

Thanks in advance if anyone does.

7. The 5 years I spent living in Australia with minimal NBA access made me realize I can live without it.

Even worse is when you turn the TV all you can see is the same cricket match being played from morning to evening. I'd rather stare at my screen saver all day long than watch cricket.

I'm probably a 9. That Blazers game that Broy went off and killed the Mavs in the 4th pissed me the fuck off, so I had to go drink away the pain. I even get pissed on a regular season game. I was pretty mad about the Thunder loss, mainly because of the way RW was playing; extremely stupid.

i won't be around til late Sunday as I'm talking my talents to Las Vegas
bachelor party, woo!
so I will probably miss the opportunity to make fun of Spurs fans. I am certain the rest of nba-age will provide enough to compensate.

Better give my picks now.

Chicago in 5, could see 4 for sure.
Lakers in whatever #, depends on their mood.
OKC in 6 over Spurs, in 7 over Grizz
Miami over Boston in 5. Unless Shaq is back legit, then Boston in 6. I can't really figure this series out without him. I want to be wrong about Miami in 5.

Fandom I'm a 9/10. But it's a different 10 in that should the Lakers lose a series, I will be able to accept it a lot easier right now than 3 years ago.

Heat in 7
Bulls in 7
Thunder in 7
Lakers in 5

I'd love for Dallas to prove me wrong but whenever I have to see JJ Barea play, Peja play defense and Terry fumble the basketball over half court, it reminds me how much garbage is surrounded around Dirk.

Kenny did have a point.

In almost every game Dallas would build a lead but eventually would allow Portland to get back in it.

You consistently do that against the Lakers and most of the time they won't stop halfway in their comeback.

No only Spurs Griz game today

When do they play? Sunday game?
They play Sunday at 3 i think. On that note Game 2 tickets are bought at 200 bones. That and buying a new ps3 (my 60gb phat yloded) is gonna make me work overtime for a while

Taj was a nice pick and turning into a really solid player but would the other key players that signed with the bulls still be interested in the team w/o him? IIRC pretty much everyone signed after he did. Boozer will always be a defensive reliability but I'll take his offense over Taj's right now . The team's weak link is offense so we need him to be good.

They did that shit all year long. I knew it would come back to haunt them, even though it was only in one game. The Lakers wont fucking give a shit, they'll take that lead and shove it up the Mavs ass if they aren't more careful.

Boozer has better touch right near the basket than Taj or he used to when he actually went/made it to the basket(and of course this is stated as if he doesn't lose the ball like he always seems to).

They both have decent midrange jumpers and while I'd give the edge to Taj of late, it's close.

Boozer seems the better foul shooter though he doesn't get to the line much anymore.

They both can pass but I'd give the slight edge to Boozer.

Boozer demands a double team for some reason a lot and Taj doesn't.

Of course Taj destroys Boozer on defense though he is somewhat skinny and like Noah, he gets pushed around a bit.

My other picks were a disaster, but that wont stop me. ;)

Lakers in 5. We win two at home, lose one on the road, win one on the road. Klose it out at Staples. There is just no way the Lakers get lazy and lose focus against this team. They almost always play them the right way. Lakers beating them in the reg season for several years is no fluke.
Celtics in 6. Rondo is going to be the difference maker. Miami will shrink against a legit elite team when it really matters like fucking clockwork.
Bulls in 6. Refs wont let them lose this series. They've already made that clear.
Grizzlies in 7(they win tonight). Just wishful thinking on my part. I'd much rather face the Grizzlies than the Thunder personally. Westbrook eats us for fucking breakfast. Pau will play like a little bitch against Perkins too. No thanks.

Basketball in general I would give myself a 10 because I fucking love watching and playing the sport (I'm filipino so this comes as no surprise)
As a Heat fan I would give myself an 8.5. While I was and still am very excited about this team, I'm not a fan of Lebron's antics, Bosh's soft ass game, and their ability to shrink in close games.

The same matchup that took place 11 years ago in the 2nd round.

I know it was a sweep but come on guys, NBA Finals 2002! Fish averaged 14pts and 4 assists while shooting nearly 70% from 3. Jason Collins and Aaron Williams acted as Shaq's escort to the basket.

I'd say I'm a 8 or 9. I mean, I'm voluntarily both a Knicks AND a Jets fan, which should suggest that in addition to being crazy and a glutton for punishment, I'm a real supporter (since there are no bandwagon fans of hapless franchises, lol).

I can't say I "live or die" with sports - at the end of the day, the real life you live is most important - but I definitely follow my teams hardcore right down to prospects/scouting/minor leagues. Particularly disappointing losses sting for days.

Hahaha, this is funny. Especially coming from a guy with a Lakers avatar!

Isn't it "clockwork" if it's happened before?

So uh...what part of that made any sense?

What is the Heat's record against .500 teams?
What is the record against Boston?
