2012-13 Dec NBA Season |OT|Runnin' in da mouf of Serg Abaka daily.

Backcourt: Dwyane Wade (Mia) 430,925; Rajon Rondo (Bos) 382,613; Deron Williams (BKN) 211,426; Kyrie Irving (Cle) 155,989; Ray Allen (Mia) 130,016; Monta Ellis (Mil) 47,650; Raymond Felton (NYK) 37,974; Jason Terry (Bos) 36,147; Brandon Jennings (Mil) 35,610; Jrue Holiday (Phi) 35,193.

This kind of puts into perspective how bad the guards in the East are.

Kind of surprised Curry doesn't seem to be getting any action in the voting. Great ball on a surprise team in what I think is a pretty big market with passionate fans and seemingly isn't getting any votes.

Why would you want Barea as a sixth man? That 2011 playoff run really inflated his value. He's a good player, but he comes with a lot deficiencies due mainly to size.

The Knicks are so mind boggling to me.

Bad rebounding which is offset by not turning the ball over and shooting really high percentages.

Felton and Melo are at about their averages accross the board.

JKidd is shooting way above his average, his rebounds are down and his TOs are down.

JR's rebounding is up, everything else around his average.

maybe the weirdiest stat, Novak's shooting is down from last year.

Tyson is shooting at an insanely high FG% and Brewer's FG % is down but his 3pt% is way up.

Fine, 7th or 8th man.

Point is, he's a reliable bench player.

Felton is a 33% three point shooter shooting at 40%, Melo's a 33% three point shooter shooting at 45%, their percentages are going to come down and the team will go back to being a random mediocre Eastern Conference team.

Uh that's not a bad group at all. Especially considering Rose is out.

didn't the knick hire some 3pt specialist over the offseason?

yeah dave hopla. dudes done wonders for the team. heard he helped brewer out a lot.

you should see tysons shooting chart. nothing but red dots right infront of the hoop. its hilarious

as for novak, he said he has to learn to have a quicker release now that teams have scouted him and he doesnt have the luxury to stay open. hes been rushing his shot but otherwise he wouldnt have an opportunity in the first place. hes also been practicing shooting off the dribble and creating some shots for himself so thats a good sign.

We understand that, but we're getting sick of him bringing out this dirty laundry in the public. Has the organization made some huge fuck ups? Yes, but you have Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, Chase Budinger, and Andrei Kirilenko as a main 5 (when healthy), you have Rick Adelman as a coach, and you have JJ Barea as a reliable 6th man, and Derrick Williams with a shitload of potential and the drive to improve, and maybe Brandon Roy for a few years of occasional production. It isn't all bad, and the core of the team is solid. You need to STFU and focus on your play, particularly when it's the middle of the season, rather than the offseason or the ASB, especially when everyone else is picking up the slack for your poor shooting.
Plus, dude punched a wall and broke his hand. Doesn't get back on defense, bitches to refs, and is not a leader.

He needs to quit acting like a bitch. I can understand complaining in years past but after adding AK47, Shved, Budinger, and Cunningham in the offseason while shipping off failures like Wes, Beas, Randolph, and Darko, why is he still bitching? Just fucking play. Oh and maybe try on defense.

How Bynum, Amare, and fucking Shane Battier are on the ballot boggles my fucking mind.

Also, can't wait to watch Lin stand in the corner of the all-star game.

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
LBJ has shot under 50% only twice this season. dude is averaging 54FG%. Wade's been playing great ever since barkley shat on him.

I don't understand why he took it so personally. Wade proved himself in the past without Bosh or Bron. Kenny and Ernie were right, he has less riding on his shoulders now then he did after his first chip. It's not that he got worse, it's that responsibility has been spread out more. The Heat also have a better bench this year than last.

Then again, he is Charles Barkley. And he is an idiot.

Yep. Kidd has had a great effect on Felton, plus Prigs has done well. Keep in mind also, one less big in the starting lineup now to handle the ball for NY, and Tyson ain't going to pull the ball on the ground.
Felton and Melo are at about their averages accross the board.
Not really, I've never seen Carmelo shoot 3s this well. He is feeling that Olympic High right now, but Felton may be feeling that injury more than he's letting on. Numbers have slipped since the bone bruise.
JKidd is shooting way above his average, his rebounds are down and his TOs are down.
Taking fewer shots, but those shots are wide open 3s. In Woodson's 2 PG system less pressure on each PG.
JR's rebounding is up, everything else around his average.
More minutes where he's the SF at times. He has done an amazing job of sneaking in for boards, one of the things Woodson challenged him on.
maybe the weirdiest stat, Novak's shooting is down from last year.
Which is why the whole "Knicks 3's percentage will come down to Earth" is hilarious. Their best shooter isn't even having a great year shooting it. It may drop a little, but people act like Knicks didn't shoot it well last year.
Tyson is shooting at an insanely high FG% and Brewer's FG % is down but his 3pt% is way up.
Brewer needs to hangs around Tyson Chandler. ProBasketBall Talk had a great piece on him last week.

...

How can a relatively unskilled basketball player be so good offensively? It’s a decision. Chandler works his tail off, of course, but his offensive prowess has more to do with his conscious effort to only do a certain number of things on the court and not dabble in much else. Roll to the rim. Hit the offensive glass. Seal off a defender. Chandler never steps outside these seemingly menial tasks, but he’s perfected the arts others take for granted. Chandler is completely aware of his immense limitations, and he’s accepted them.

That acceptance of limitations is a skill in its own right — one that few players actually possess. To be in the NBA, an absurd amount of confidence is almost requisite. There’s no room for hesitation or doubt or believing you can’t do something. It’s why Jordan Crawford thinks he can be the next Michael Jordan. It’s why Raymond Felton thinks he can drop 50 at anytime even though he’s never, ya know, actually done it. Self-delusion is necessary for survival in the most competitive basketball league in the world.

And really, Chandler’s ability to stray away from that path and develop at his own rate and be realistic with himself is what makes him the incredible player he is. He’s the perfect teammate — he doesn’t need the ball, he covers your back defensively, and he never mails it in from an effort standpoint. He’s a rock. On a Knicks team filled with guys brimming with confidence, always pushing the limits as to what they can do on the court, Chandler is a grounding influence. While Jason Kidd threads the impossible needle, or Carmelo Anthony takes a 24-foot feat check, or J.R. Smith does J.R. Smith things, Chandler is always there, doing the same things he always does, silently getting better and better.

...

Felton is a 33% three point shooter shooting at 40%, Melo's a 33% three point shooter shooting at 45%, their percentages are going to come down and the team will go back to being a random mediocre Eastern Conference team.
If the shots continue to be wide open, there's no reason the percentages will drop drastically.

Was there a reason Celtics wanted Courtney Lee/ Jason Terry over Mo Williams? Because Williams seems like a great fit for them, can play SG and can move to PG when Bradley returns or Rondo needs a breather.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot they also got Lee and expanded the question. I really don't get why Mo is underrated. Ever since LeBron lost to Dallas Mo found his heart.

Your whining about LMA. Z-Bo is the best PF in the west at the moment along with Duncan. And His name isn't even there.
Reilo Flow Chart:

Wow he is getting way too many votes. Dude has no business being anywhere near an all star team this year. Every single guy with more votes ahead of him deserves to be on the team over him.

Quit embarrassing yourself.

He's shooting 45%.

Which is several percentage points better than some of the power-forwards with more votes. Kevin Love is shooting 36FG%.
