Take it for what it's worth, it IS Bill Simmons, but he speculates that because Tyson Chandler is a well liked dude around the league, and they basically didn't even attempt to resign him and defend their title in favor of chasing Dwight/Deron, it might have put the Mavs front office in a bad light with some players. He spoke with Tyson and said that he seemed real salty about the way the Mavs basically passed on him even though he had just helped them win a title.
