Funny that NOLF2 still looks good at this day. Art >>>> tech.
Definitely. Art and some good 32X AA.
Thnx!

Yes Auto-reply is coming up with some great pic's of "Alan Wake" as well :)

In my case AW is fully playable in 8k@60FPS, thanks to "Durante's GeDoSaTo"

Just in case anyone is wondering, these are my specs...CPU: 4770K @ 4.8 GPU, QUAD TITAN SLI| OS, Windows 8 64 bit!

And, not to waste space....
[cut]
No doubt you can afford that resolution with those specs. Great rig you have. :)

Back to the screens. BTW, I forgot about the respawn being present in NOLF 2, very, VERY annoying.

Just got past the Tornado level, visually stunning for a 2002 engine. It was quite challenging capturing screenshots while being constantly chased by (respawning) ninjas.

^ Yes, it was used as a tech demo as well, showcasing Jupiter engine's features. :)

A couple more:

India, finally some colours!

Woah woah woah how are you using the free cam without dynamic shadows being disabled?

I have no idea how that happened. Didn't read about the free cam not having dynamic shadows until after taking a lot of these screenshots. Maybe it doesn't always happen, although I've definitely noticed the shadows disappearing in Dragon Shrine at the bonfire.

Can't speak for R8TEDM3, and i also don't play at 8k. I only play at 2560x1440 maxed, smooth as butter, can't say for certain if that's always 60 frames or not. Visually i don't notice drops in the framerate. I did at 3200x1800 though, that's why i dropped the res, sporting a regular gtx 780 OC and not in sli. There is build in 2xMSAA that you cannot disable afaik, i would drop that and then only go with fxaa and go up in resolution again, if i would be allowed to do so, msaa is not kind on framerate for me.

I've got a 570, and the game is playable with 20-30FPS at 3200x1800 with 4xMSAA+FXAA.

Strange

Isn't this game DX11 only? And doesn't it have issues with enhancing the in game MSAA or something? (Just going off what others have posted on Nvidia's forum)

I haven't had any issues myself. I just set Inspector to the amount of Sparse Grid I want to use (4x for gameplay, 8x for screenshots), and set the ingame MSAA to match it. Get mostly 50-60fps with 4xSparseGrid. Around 35-60fps with 8x. 8xSparseGrid plus all of the reflection settings maxed out can be demanding, especially if you set the time of day at dawn, or dusk when there is more lighting/shadowing going on, as well.

Some gorgeous shots, one thing I might be wrong in asking is to disable GPU overlays in the screenshots you post?
Thanks, and not wrong at all. Was thinking of disabling the overlay myself in future screenies I might post.

And keep the NOLF2 screenshots coming, like have already mentioned before, the art design still looks pleasing.

Thought I could start a new page with some colour!..... and a little bit of humour.

Very nice! Have never heard of this one before, got me interested in checking more of it out. Looks like a fun platforming game?

I'll keep the colorful going with some Rayman Legends (apologies for gpu overlay, these are older screenies am posting that all have the rivatuner osd enabled, I'll disable it for any new screenies I get uploaded):

Yeah it's pretty much a mash of the old PS2 era platformers like Ratchet & Clank, Jack & Daxter and Sly Cooper etc, etc. Love the art style. Like what was said about how art trumps tech, this is exactly that. Even if the game is rubbish (I've not played enough to say yet) the art style and colours will be forever relevant.

I'm sold. But may wait for a sale, my backlog is out of control at the moment.

That looks great, like very crisp. Did you downsample or inject any sweetfx if you don't mind me asking?

Can't remember for sure but am almost certain that I was using maldo hd 4.0 (if not 3.0) for these:

Thnx mate, really nice pic's from you as well. Crysis 2 along with Maldo's looks great even today!

Yes, they were downsampled from 5120x2880, along with 4xMSAA and i also used "Maldo's on the fly" Ultra config!

Downsampling doesn't work but I was able to get 2XSGSSAA going and keep 60 FPS so the aliasing isn't quite as bad as it was without doing anything. Just wish the game would work :/

Well, i didn't say it was problematic! It just wasn't a constant 60fps anymore...and i kind of like having that even while taking screenshots. I rarely play a game for the purpose of screenshotting alone, it's mostly an activity that you can do while playing and it doesn't interfere with the overall experience. (except that cheat-engine and free camera stuff but in Alan Wake it's well implemented and doesn't take me out of the game much.)

I thought Crytek locked access to the CVARS making most of Maldo's work unusable ?

Don't own the game so not sure if this will work but try changing your actual desktop resolution to the custom res that you want to use for downsampling. Doesn't work all the time but it works well when it does. Edit: Quick example, in Elder Scrolls Online, I can see my custom downsampling resolutions like normal while in-game but nothing happens when I apply them. Have to set desktop resolution to get it to work.
