Activision sets up Steam Publisher page

Could be getting ready to offload Battle.net?

I'd love to see Crash Team Racing finally come out for PC.

That would mean official Steam Deck support. It's not that hard to set up with a few command line edits to play Overwatch but true native steam support would be great! I'm looking forward to community control schemes in particular that take advantage of the track pads for RTS and FPS aiming which currently don't work since it's not a native steam experience.

I do have a question about this.

If I buy mw2 in steam. Would I still need to have the battle.net app ? If so what is the purpose of steam ?
That's why a bunch of us are hoping that battle.net goes goodbye. Ubi does this with Uplay too and it's annoying as hell.

As to why you'd bother with Steam to begin with, library consolidation/better sales & prices on keys/friends list/community features.

Just like EA, Just like Bethesda, Just like Take Two who didnt even try(smart) they all try and all end up come crawling back. Ubisoft since leaving Steam, has lost 50% of its stock value though hyping AC had its biggest sales ever over the winter. its just a matter of time. Actually, reading those pubs names, depressing and could really care less.

This is what I've been waiting for. It was inevitable. Hopefully I can buy Call of Duty again within a more sensible retail space.

Nice. The actual 'oh shit' moment for me will happen if/when Blizzard games are on Steam and I can migrate my Battlenet library to Steam.
But perhaps they'll keep the client for Blizzard games? Imagine the embarrassment when people get to see accurate engagement numbers for WoW on Steam stats. No sugar coating or obfuscation possible.

I think they'll keep the battle.net as a side-client for matchmaking or something but Blizzard games will go to Steam.

It makes too much sense to put all the games on Steam and reap the rewards.

Surprised Epic didn't offer to give Activision like 50 million dollars or something for timed exclusivity. I guess not everyone can be so easily bought like Randy Pitchford.
