Trump is the fucking law.

My Sister called me earlier today. She wanted to know what was going on, why people are protesting and why the minority kids she teaches keep saying bad things about Trump. She is a White woman that couldn't give two shits about politics. But now she is worried. My only hope is that others like her will finally wake up too.
It is sad that minority children are more engaged with the political process than some grown ass white people. :/

How many other instances of a Cabinet official (acting or otherwise) refusing to cooperate with the President have we seen since Nixon? Not trying to be clever 'cause I honestly don't know myself but I don't think the number is high.

Maybe there's a reason we haven't seen many refusing to cooperate since Nixon... Why do you seem to be unwilling to look at things in context?

Trump said he would let her stay on until the new nominee is confirmed, so he was already going to replace her (which, again, is the norm for new Presidents).

Yes, we all know that. Sessions still hasn't been confirmed, and with any hope, he won't be. Replacing her with his pick would be the norm, but that's not what's happening here so why are you bringing it up? There's nothing normal about this current situation.

The stock market wobbled today. Wobbled in the face of good consumer numbers.
It is gonna tank tomorrow.

I wish there would be a fucking (small) crash, money is what these guys care about, if there is a global cabal of shadowy men they are fucking useless at this point they are gonna loose their shirts sitting by not doing anything they should be making calls and bringing back stability.

Man, you just can't wait very long before more shit hits the fan. I was away watching a few TV shows, come back, yes Trump does something heinous. Is anyone in Congress ever going to say enough is enough? In my almost 40 years on this earth I have never seen it this bad with any President. This is really unnerving.

We are not gonna be a superpower in 4 years. We will be a common dictatorship. No money, no jobs, huge army, at war with 20 or 30 countries.

Everyone who voted for this tyrant into office deserves to have their voting rights revoked for the rest of their lives.

He couldn't even wait a day on this. Donald Trump and friends really believe they're above the law.

Agreed. If we would have stripped the voting rights from white people in the south like the original plan and outlawed the confederate flag and locked up every leader of the confederacy for life, we wouldn't have these problems today.

They just kicked the can down the road and now here we are.

To the people minimizing the fact she was fired. They just had to wait a day and her defiance would have faded into the news ether. What they did now was create another firestorm for tomorrows news cycle. Another fire of their own creation to put out. That and the press release in tandem is just... theyre chopping off their own appendages at this point.

Calamity Bannon wants the chaos. So much happening at once, remember tomorrow we already know Trump is issuing some order on THE CYBER and his SC pick, harms the medias ability to focus on one issue.

These are not things the President of the United States should be saying in a press release involving what is clearly an internal conflict within the administration. This is embarrassing and shameful.

Getting fired for protecting the American people :(.

It's fucking infuriating that the statement says otherwise, it's a big fucking lie

Good lord. Someone on my Facebook feed:

"If the POTUS would have waited, it's proof that you can hold up the President. It was a matter of principle in this case. It's the same thing as walking into your CEO's office, flipping him the middle finger and telling him to go F himself."

She did what was lawful, conscientious, and courageous.

She told a bully on the national stage that his behavior and actions were un-American and ethically wrong.

I'm proud of her.

If she was going to be gone soon anyway why fire her? This just keeps the Muslim ban he was trying to get rid of in the news doesn't it? Was this out of spite?

Spite? Absolutely. This guy is probably one of the most spiteful on the planet. He will do everything he can with his presidential powers to enact revenge on everyone that he perceives as having wronged him.

Damn it, it's amazing how fast a country can change due to a single person. This is just not working. Same system is being implanted in Turkey too if it passes we will be in same boat as USA.

Trump and his supporters really do love a good private corporation analogy.

Also if there is a mass exodus at the justice department, Trump can fill the place with his yes men. If that happens we are fucked
He's been doing that with most of the other departments already. State is practically a ghost town. Why should Justice be any different?

The Department of Defense is the one we need to be worried about prominent heads rolling at.

At this rate, the idea of a civil war for you guys really doesn't seem that unrealistic anymore. Things really are moving so fast that a traditional government response of checks and balances may not be able to keep up with things.

Trump couldn't even wait a week for his "guy" to come in. He had to make a show of firing the AG just to flex his muscle.

What a joke.

Why would he want an Obama selection writing orders on his behalf anyway?

He should have relieved her of duty the day he came into office. I mean, he fired all the State Department veterans. But he thought it was a good idea to keep the AG around?

The fact that he signed half of these executive orders without even having his own people in place in the first place to enforce them is disturbing.

It's as if he doesn't give a shit about anything except trying to get some stupid factoid in the Guinness Book of World Records for #of executive orders in a week.

Yates was asked by Donald Trump to act as AG until Sessions is confirmed. Her position as acting AG didn't actually begin until Jan 20.

They can be added to the "THESE ARE ACTUALLY THINGS THE PRESIDENT SAID JESUS CHRIST" bingo card along with "carnage" and "grab her by the pussy."

Former DOJ spokesman not just some guy with twitter

That press release looks so unprofessional. Is this how you let go someone who has dedicated their life for the country? Disgusting

This is absolutely insane. At what point does Trump step over a line? What does the line even represent? And what happens when he steps over this? I'm praying we really don't have 4 years of this, but then again this country put him in office in the first place, so what are the odds this shit is going to wake the country up? We elected a man who talked about grabbing women by the pussy and incited violence at protests.
