For real. Sometimes I visit their site out of old habit because they used to be daily reading for me and immediately regret it.

It used to be a cool site when they dropped news from the industry constantly (RIP GAF > Kotaku > GAF), before deciding that they should be the creators of the news.

They're like Hollywood writers that take great books that were already written and think, "no, I can do better," before completely butchering it.

Based on the reactions here, quite a bit of you...which is surprising. I don't think I've clicked on any of their bullshit in a decade or more.

Nobody.

Their YT channel hasnt had a video in a month. They last regularly uploaded videos 6 months ago. Almost nobody views their videos. For a game site that should still get some clicks due to legacy mindshare, their videos are lucky to get 1 or 2,000 views. Its that low.

My buddy who ran a game site long time ago use to have him and some of his buddies upload random videos whether they were previews or reviews or one guy reviewing a new game pad or steering wheel or whatever. Even those random videos from a random guy doing it as a hobby after dinner could get more than a couple thousand views.

Yep, I gave him the benefit of the doubt years ago, since I also believe that there are western groups of devs.. not necessarily colluding, but of the same mind; so much so, that it becomes extremely one-sided.
But it's become obvious he has gone off the deep end, not to mention his game project is a scam, it's a facade of a game. I'm sure it started out with good intentions though, after all, what can be seen from the game *is* real, it just doesn't equate even 3 months work of fulltime efforts by 2 professionals.
