Journalists are a thing of the past, and have been. The ones that were fairly wise went on to do YouTube or something similar. They attempted to adapt. But it's weird to me that so many just continued.

It’s honestly been about 10 years since I regularly visited Kotaku, but their retarded articles would still pop up in my Google News all the time until I chose to hide them like a year ago.

I have a feeling the lines are in the process of being redrawn as far as what's forced down our throats as a collective enthusiast culture. I also have a feeling the waves are going to become more pronounced in coming weeks.

2 years to the day sounds like a contract didn't get renewed, not like a super coinky-dink shucks lmao. You already see a bunch of Professor-coded game devs absolutely losing their minds, Dragon Age becoming a meme, Concord shutting down and Firewalk closing.

We've officially reclaimed the word retard, and I'm pretty sure it's cool to say something is gay as fuck now, too. A few more notches to the right, and we'll practically be in 2006 again.

I'm not sure if I'm grateful for not even knowing who this creature is, or if I was dangerously ignorant for not knowing who the characters are behind the editorials in the rotten side of modern gaming journalism.

It's all going one way in gaming, movies/TV, this week in the US, Europe, and next year Canada. If you Yanks think this week in the US was a landslide, just watch what happens next year in Canada. You havent seen anything.

She was not someone trying to give a thoughtful view from espoused or even shallow performative progressive values, in an illusion of good faith.

She challenged people who disagreed with her to public physical fights and backed out.
She interviewed devs and then grossly took their words out of context to stoke controversy.
She broke from a published game review of elden ring dlc to interject personal drama.

People toss around the term rage baiters as hyperbole. That's her entire state of being and it was done, much like her OF, nakedly and unabashedly.

Edit: So it's not just she is a bad journalist or simply someone I disagree with. She was a terrible parody of journalism and basked in it.
