AMD RX 6000 'Big Navi' GPU Event | 10/28/2020 @ 12PM EST/9AM PST/4PM UK

Kinda wondering how perf will look if you DONT have a ZEN3 CPU.
It's been on par with RAGE + Smart Memory, but what if you pair it with a Intel CPU or ZEN1/2 CPU?

Well, I'm firmly in Nvidia's camp and am more than content with my RTX 30 Series cards. However, I'm genuinely happy and excited that AMD is finally being competitive in the high-end discrete GPU market. The talk among the community alone is exciting.
It will be interesting to see AMD Ryzen + XT combo, considering they introduced some optimizations for that.

Obviously Ray Tracing performance is not on par with 3080/3090, they didn't mention that.

Anyway on a pure raster performance that seems amazing from AMD. I didn't expect that to be honest!

lol get rekt

Never be in "a camp". That's what fools do.

Fuck, I think I'm in for AMD. Will wait to see real benchmarks of course.

I think they showed rage+smart memory performance separately. They clearly said that it delivers up to 13% more over and above the previously shown performance. So its only cherry on top.

I guess we will be seeing 12gb 3080ti at $899-999 shortly..

Thank god of stock shortages!
Yeah this is going to be terrific for consumers in terms of pricing competition. AMD are taking Nvidia out to play, kicking and screaming lol.

Lisa just put nvd to fucking SLEEP! lmao

Now all they have to do is have stock and I'm on board. It's been a while since I've been interested in buying an AMD GPU but they really nailed the 6800/6900.

i wanted to know more about rt / dlss equivalent

basically RT uses DX api only using CUs. I doubt its as good out the gate as an RTX. and they are only WORKING on their DLSS equivalent now, buit its coming.

Wow, nice to see AMD competitive again, and that performance per watt improvement is sexy. Good pricepoints as well I think.

But was there anything to compete with RTX3070?

I need a 1440p card. Would love to have a choice. Probably will have 0 cards available, considering expected 3070 supply...

Just as I thought.

1) No RT cores so basically the SMUs will do all the RT.
2) No hardware Tensor Cores for DLSS.

These cards will not last long this generation.

Disagree entirely. These will be more than fine until the next gen of cards. If AMD doesnt have anything to match DLSS and RT Performance at that time it would be a huge mistake. BUt those features are still not mainstream.

That was short.

VRS is their star feature?
i missed the first 10 minutes.

Came to see their ray tracing and didn't get it.
