Dammit, these episodes aren't long enough. This has become my most anticipated show of the week right now.

If they're going to resurrect every character then I want Madison back already.

I guess we'll have a one-armed Madison now. Damn Spalding.

Oh my god, that witch burning music.

Really expected Frankenkyle to save the day there with the last zombie. Was pretty okay with him just not showing up. Maybe him and Misty and Myrtle will form Team Not Yet Dead.

Where are you Zoe haters now?

So good

Still here. She still is a boring character played by a bad actress. Seriously, "c'mun own guis we gotta bored up teh house". I nearly died laughing.

Oh, and thanks for throwing her into the pits of DEM hell. One interesting note is that it seemed like she was saying an incantation? Possibly due to her being a hybrid.

I've said too much.

So I guess Nan is just too weak to read Fiona's mind and know that she killed Madison?

or do her powers just not work like that.

what the FUCK is up with the damn blurry shots that only have a coke-can-sized area in focus?! whos editing this shit and saying to themselves "yup, looks great"! its irritating me to the point where its making me want to stop watching

TheSeks

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
YAAAAAASSSS

YOU'VE BEEN OUT-MANEUVERED

NOT FOR LONG. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Seriously though, I was hoping she'd stay dead and her body was completely ash. Now Finoa's just even more FUCKED when she comes back with Lily Rabe to fuck over the convent along with Angela Bassett.

Blurry shots

In the hospital it was meant to show Fiona's "high" or whatever. But yeah, it was REALLY overused this episode.

It was weird to see Zoe transform from one of the dumbest characters ever written to a chainsaw weidling bad ass.

She's gonna be the next supreme. This transformation was always going to happen. Fear of death helped trigger this transformation apparently.

I really liked this last episode. I thought misty would heal Madison, but I guess healing a recently burned myrtle is going to be interesting. It seems like Fiona is going to have her hands full managing all the lies on top of a witch war.

There's a ton of story lines right now that interest me.

If you guys saw dat preview it strongly hints at something we've wanted......
it shows Misty and Zoe over Madison's body. Im wondering if its Madison's spirit talking to Zoe or maybe the supreme before Fiona which leads Zoe to discovering her body. Its possible that Madison has been gone for too long for Misty to revive her on her own. Maybe thats why they seem to be doing some sort of ritual over her body.

No Evan Peters? Last episode they totally set it up to look like Zoe would have to find him amongst the army of trick or treaters out on Halloween, but he didn't even appear in this episode.

Started watching this with my girlfriend.
We're through most of season one and something that continually pisses me off is simply the piss poor decision making skills these people seem to have.

Moreover, a lot of the episodes move at some breakneck pace. Throwing characters into scenes sporadically with the excuse of... IT MUST BE A GHOST LOL! They pile a ton of situations into clusterfuck scenarios and we just watch it crumple to a heap.

I dunno, it feels like a movie that got drawn out longer than it should have. It's not bad, I can see the appeal but it still feels off to me. I'll keep watching since she seems to like it... hopefully it gets better. One of our friends said there were aliens or something in it? What?

Cool episode, though not as good as last week.

And lol @ Queenie asking for a Coke during a zombie attack

She's right about Hank though. He's a fucking psycho.

But not because he can't keep a job.

Queen Misty, the true next Supreme.

YAAAAAASSSSSS

Seriously, "c'mun own guis we gotta bored up teh house". I nearly died laughing.

More like, "Close the curtains and turn off the lights!!" Ugh. Like curtains are going to keep the zombies out. What a dummy.

I will admit though that the chainsaw scene was cool. It made me like her, for, like, 5 seconds.

Seriously though, I was hoping she'd stay dead and her body was completely ash.

Yeah, I looked to me like Myrtle went "poof" shortly after she was set on fire, but apparently not. Hm.

I'm thankful that Supreme Misty brought her back to life tho. Misty x Myrtle dream team antics my gawd

The chainsaw scene made me like Zoe until it was over.

Fiona stays proving you don't fuck with the Supreme.

A good episode but not quite as good as last week's. Can't wait to see what Misty and barbecued Myrtle get up to.

Zoe getting a personality at last.

Half the time I was thinking that Zoe would just say "oh I play a lot of games so I know how to deal with zombies".

It's kind of strange to see her acting so calm.

I also like the dichotomy of Zoe and Misty, being the witch of death and life respectively. Wonder how this would play out eventually. And how does Misty just wander around into these situations anyway. So bizarre and yet beautiful in a weird way.

That leaves the mystery of who the acid thrower is. Might be Luke's mother I guess. Unless they have more new characters.

What even is myrtle's power? Or any of the other council members for that matter

Guesses on who burned Cordelia's eyeballs out?

The easy prediction has to be a voodoo affiliate. But this show is not that simple. I am ready for the perpetrator to be revealed.

myrtle's power had something to do with truth telling. she made it so that spalding could never lie.

That seemed more like a spell she cast akin to Madison raising kyle from the dead, not her actual power

I'm guessing it's probably the next door neighbour. Or someone related to Hank. An acid attack that required the person to be physically present suggests that the perpetrator might not know magic or have powers. Not sure why the witchy get up though.

If Myrtle didn't do the acid attack, why didn't she plead her innocence more?

I think Ryan is setting up for a character we haven't seen yet. Fiona merely took opportunity of the circumstance.

I have a specific theory though - it's the
Axeman....
.

I too thought it might be Joan, but I don't see motivation for Joan to do that to Cordelia right now.

Well,
they have to reattach her arm, so maybe that's why Misty can't just pat her head to life.

I'm guessing she realized there was no way out it because the council had already decided. Plus, as she said at the end, "I'd rather die by fire than to boil to death," when referencing Fiona's grand design affecting everyone that couldn't see the truth. So, essentially suicide to avoid what was about to happen. Oh and dignity and honor and all that stuff.

Also, for someone who posted earlier, they never mentioned what her actual power was, but she mentioned that she was "the protector of veracity and the vernacular." I was thinking maybe she had the innate ability to tell if someone was telling a lie, but because she can only determine what is false, she has to enact a spell to do the truth telling.

Myrtle kind of did. I'm rewatching the scene now.

Myrtle was in New Orleans.

Fiona played it up to support the acid throwing theory. Myrtle herself said it - "She's twisting EVERYTHING! She had to be stopped!".

Myrtle was acting weird, but she didn't do anything wrong. She was merely watching Fiona based on a suspicion from when they were younger. She was obsessed with Fiona ever since Spaulding had his tongue cut out and Anna-Lee disappeared.

When the glove comes off - she's visibly shocked at what's happened. But she does say "You know what she is - who would you believe!" to Pember. You kind of see the resolve drain from her fact at that point.

As for Myrtle's powers - she is at least telekinetic. We saw her open the gate in Episode 4.

Fantastical

Death Prophet
The scene was obviously trying to show some kind of learned helplessness from Myrtle that wasn't entirely convincing. No matter what she tried Fiona always won so she just gave up.

To be honest I think Frances Conroy has been miscast. Not feeling her performance at all.

That's interesting because I was thinking she played the role of helpless victim perfectly. I can't help but watch her with sympathy because of her squinty, crooked eyes and this sort of inherent vulnerability she projects.

I love her performance, it's so weird and quirky.

I actually love how of all the actors and actresses, Frances' characters seem to vary so much in their mannerisms, personalities and delivery of their lines. I liked her sullen portrayal of Sha'Cath in Asylum, but Myrtle has the potential to expand to become my favourite of her AHS characters.

Yeah, I didn't exactly buy it. Just a few episodes back she's shitting bricks from cops questioning her and now she's all smack down layer. Granted, they don't have much time for all kinds of character development in this show given that each season is unrelated, but that kind of came from way out in left field. I'd have preferred that she just discovered her extra powers without the chainsawing.

But, I enjoyed the rest of the episode. By the way, the witch burning tune was by New Orleans R&B musician Dr. John. "Right Place, Wrong Time" was a top 10 tune back in '73.

The way I rationalized it was by two criteria: Stupidity and willingness to protect her friends. This entire season thus far, she's been pretty stupid, but there was the one time where she attempted to bring Madison's attackers to justice (obviously failing but upset, nonetheless). I think these two qualities combined very nearly qualify as, at the very least, a stepping stone into a smidgen of believably. Though it may rely heavily on her stupidity and naivete than anything else.

Apologies if already covered...

Why didn't Myrtle scream in pain when Queenie dipped her fingers in acid? Didn't even look like she noticed it was happening. Or was that not acid/it was just cosmetic?

I guess that works. I just hope that they keep building on her now, they can't really have her back to being ms. flaky doofus after this. Though, once they go back to frankenkyle, I'm sure she'll revert.

She does. She says "you're hurting me."

I can only imagine what it's like have your skin eaten away at, but I would expect more pain. Her reaction was nothing like Cordelia's from the previous episode. Maybe Queenie can control how much pain her victim feels.

Anywho, accounted for, moving on.

That scene in the hospital with the dead baby, hit extremely close to home to me and my partner. Since we lost our baby in early august. We both had tears in that scene.

Darn :(

Sorry to hear that, The Giant.

Was just going to speak about that scene myself. Any idea why that scene was covered? Just so Myrtle could be scene in the hospital?
Edit: I know the acid attack and all.
