AMERICAN HORROR STORY: Coven |OT| When witches don't fight, we burn....

Last season had so many more subplots. Lana, bloodyface, the aliens, etc. This one just has one and quite frankly, is pretty pale in comparison.

This one has had major plot issues. Last season resolved everything neatly and in a timely manner. This season has just rushed through everything and has been poorly written and cheesy as all hell. The last few episodes especially, I just shake my head at a lot of the dialogue.

Visually it's uninteresting. Best thing out of this season is the intro, which is a far cry from what the show actually attempts to do.

I keep expecting a shot of Cordelia lying dead on the floor and the revelation that this is all just a fantasy.

Yea, same here. There's ten minutes, not sure what they could really do without setting up another plot that would end up nowhere.

This has to be one of the worst finales on TV in a while. What a disaster.

I may rewatch Season 1 to purge myself of this.

The finale for Asylum was great because there was actual conflict to resolve with the whole Lana and son thing. This was nonsense because I really really didn't care who the Supreme was.

Should have been Zoe.

But I knew it would be Cordelia. I'm pretty sure I said as much in this thread earlier.

Better than last season but still all build up and no payoff.

I personally feel like
Cordelia should be the next surpreme. Her nurturing love and kindness has probably done more to help the rest of them grow than anything.

Well I guess I got the ending I wanted =/

Watching the repeat and I'm reminded of how cool the opening is. It really does feel like the opening for some other creepier witch show. I want to go to the alternate universe where Coven lives up to it.

Zoe would have been way too obvious. It was clear that it wasn't going to be Madison, either. I was honestly expecting Nan to come back from the dead and turn out to be the Supreme.

Cordelia being the supreme is just stupid. Oh, so she JUST now gets all her powers as soon as Myrtle believes in her? It just happened out of nowhere. And why did Misty tell everyone that Fiona was cut up and fed to aligators? Shouldn't she have been able to tell that she was alive all along?

One theory I have is that Madison was actually the Supreme. In the scene where she's being choked to death, they kept showing how Cordelia was really struggling with bringing Zoe back. As soon as Madison died, Cordelia was able to bring Zoe back because she then became the next Supreme after Madison.

Madison couldn't do the Divination. She failed.

I think it was just a juxtaposition of life and death more than anything.
