6P seems p alright but if the size isn't your thing, yeah, skip year.

That screen though, if the rumors are true.

Let's hope that it is at least color accurate. I don't know how Huawei has been on that front, but I hope for the best. I can't stand piss yellow screens like the one on the Nexus 6. I want to just take the phone out of the box and use it without having to modify stuff to put it like it should have been.

Shouldn't be garbage quality screen since it isn't Motorola.

I'd support it, if they wouldn't ignore existing standards and come up with their own shitty version instead.

It would be nice to consumers yes, but then again conforming to standards means a path down to commoditization and they’ll be foregoing one of the main advantages of being a "closed one vendor ecosystem”. From a business standpoint, it makes sense not to play too nice with everybody, because that’s how you get to cleverly shift leverage away from consumers into the hands of the corporation in the long run. While the rest are slugging it out in this open multi-vendor arena leading to the inevitable race to the bottom, the one vendor ecosystem gets to shield itself from competition and protect its fat margins. There’s a reason why Apple is able to monopolize 92% of industry profits despite only around 18% marketshare worldwide you know. But anyways, that’s another story for another time. I better stop here before I work myself up into another epic rant lol.

12 hours left on my OnePlus Two code if anyone wants it. Might have to toss it to reddit lol
If you don't already have one that invite is hooked to your email address and is not sharable. There are work arounds though. If it is a sharable there is a op2 invite thread here on gaf.

Well I got the day off tomorrow so what should I do to be prepared to order a 6P? Should I update info like address on the play store ahead of time if possible?

Definitely don't have that much money to burn.

At this point I'm half tempted to abandon it all and just buy a 50$ windows phone. Except I do actually use googlecast in apps.

Windows phones are pretty decent hardware. But the piss poor app support sucks. No incorporated last pass, no full Sonos app etc

BUT...

...at least you can!

:-/

I know the constant hate the OP2 gets has to be irksome for you, but the screen on the N6 is no more garbage than the OP2 is as a phone. Unremarkable, definitely. Not garbage.

Nearly everyone not named Gcubed is being a fucking retard the closer we get to this launch. Chill out peeps.

That's true. But I got a bit tired of flashing stuff when I had my Nexus. I don't want to bother with that again.

Is there another phone being released we don't know about?

You all must carry around a ton of porn with you or something. I'm having a hard time figuring out why people need more than 16GB. I've had 128GB SSD in my Computer for the past two years and manage to constantly have music, tv shows, and games on rotation. Learn how to manage your life. Less clutter too.

The hate doesn't bother me. The Nexus screen is horrible unless you flash a custom kernel that has color controls so you can fix what Motorola did to the screen. Go look at it in a store compared to any other flagship phone and get back to me.

I'm probably going with the Xperia Z5, pending review feedback on how that 810 does in terms of overheating

Edit: Errr, wait maybe you meant among those getting a Nexus. If so, nevermin

The 810 and 808 still get hot as fuck. I can feel it burning my fingers when I used both the Moto X Pure and OP2.

Should I just jump to a G4, or save my Jump upgrade for Nexus 2016 (or G5).

Coming from a Nexus 6

I would get a z5, but the whole band 12 thing with T-Mobile is a little sketch

I order my Moto X before the more detailed info of the next Nexus devices leaked. Hoping I don't regret not waiting

depends what you were hoping for... N5X i dont think you are making a poor decision. N6P... maybe

Why does it list Cricket as a CDMA? I want to use cricket but it uses At&t network right?

Cricket *was* CDMA when they were bought by AIO. Their CDMA network is legacy and they only support old devices, AIO took the Cricket name and its still owned by ATT on their network

I know why it's done, but it's still crazy to me how much carriers market the iPhone themselves and come up with new plans/options specifically for the iPhone. I've barely seen Apple's own iPhone 6s commercial, but I see the carrier specific ads all the time. It's nuts. Do non-US carriers also do this for the iPhone?

13 million phones in one weekend.

Yes they do here. At my company iPhone launch is treated as a huge internal project given tonnes of attention. This never happens for any other phone. The only other one I can think of that gets a quarter of the same treatment is Samsung phones but only the flagship S line.

So that's why the Nexus 6 I saw at the T-Mobile store looked so horrible and off-color. It looked downright nasty next to everything else, even the cheap phones!
