I would say that the only people that where disappointed are the Nexus 5 owners whom were hoping at a true successor of said phone.
It is clear that "big" phones are the priority and we will never get again another flagship phone 5" inches and under. Those days are gone.

Plus the fact that Google ignores the whole mainland Europe, that's starting to make me go skip year or the Moto X Style ... but then again that starts at 499,- on the german Motorola page ...
Any leaks/updates why the hell i won't be able to get a 5X in Germany, the North Pole or other ... small and unsignificant ... countries? (Obviously sarcasm...)

Seriously, 3GB and 64GB and I would be all over it. It's basically the two year old Nexus 5 with a minor processor upgrade and a fingerprint scanner. That's it.

You all must carry around a ton of porn with you or something. I'm having a hard time figuring out why people need more than 16GB. I've had 128GB SSD in my Computer for the past two years and manage to constantly have music, tv shows, and games on rotation. Learn how to manage your life. Less clutter too.

fast charging is useful. wireless chargingis lazy. the biggest complaint people had was oh i have to flip it over twice to plug the cable in and thats gone with type-c.

You get used to it. I couldn't go back to a phone that's sub 5.5. Also once had an Xperia Z Ultra and that's one big phone.
i tried to get on the wireless charging train, could never get it to take off. I never use it anymore. It will be useful when lots of locations have wireless charging at their tables, etc... but even then, they have adapters.

Music,pictures, and especially games take up a lot of space. Asking people to delete things to make space for new things is ridiculous. However, the beauty of Android is having options.

Daaaaamn that's pretty bossy. A couple games, a months worth of photos, some video recordings, and some .gifs...BOOM. That 16GB (really more like 12-14 usable) is gone. You shouldn't have to delete shit on the fly to take more photos.

I'm getting neither one, but for me, the only negatives on the two Nexii are shit storage capacity and smallish battery with the 5X; potential SD810 issues with the 6P; bezel sizes and no SD card for both, but those are minor.
The new Chromecast and Pixel tablet are what I really want, but I know I won't be able to afford the latter (dat beast-ass Tegra X1!). Also, the Play Music family plan. It's on par with Apple Music's family plan price/value.

Anywho, it sounds like the 5X and 6P will share the same exact camera sensor/module, meaning Google wants to synchronize the camera experience across the two devices.
Hopefully, this means they took the camera quality seriously this time.

Apparently the fast wireless charger is pretty darn good too. Btw, just a heads up in case youre unaware, if you activate Samsung pay youre eligible for a free flip case or wireless charger. Dunno if its the fast charger though
