I'm buying GH:WT, but damn it's not nearly as visually appealing as Rock Band 1 or 2.

I hope Tony Hawk is there to do his best rockin' out statue impression again. Get Paula Abdul to do her seal clap, and the guy in the sweater vest to tell us that for the first time, we'll be able to play a game entirely on video (we're calling it a video game) and we'll be good to go.M3wThr33 said:How they invented full-album-DLC, the 360 and fire.

60's - 2 songsThe Innocent X said:19 out of 75 'real' songs are from the 70's or earlier. Not too bad is it?
AMUSIX said:These bands are of the size that they'd more likely appear on the disc than as future DLC. It's possible that the 20 song pack will include some of these, but I simply can't see Harmonix pushing the Rolling Stones out of bed in favor of Dinosaur Jr.

The Innocent X said:I'd have to say that the 80's missing out is mostly a good thing for me. Rock in the 80's was about as far from rock as I want to get ( obviously there are exceptions )

The Innocent X said:True, would love me some smiths. I was thinking more of the cheese rawk, poodle rock, spandex rock. I could live without that.

EBGames said:In addition to the new set list, check our Rock Band 2 product pages for a video trailer, as well. Xbox 360 owners will get the first crack at Rock Band 2 when the stand-alone game releases September 14, with the Special Edition Bundle following on October 19. PS3 owners will get their chance with the game and the bundle on October 19. Wii and PS2 owners will have to wait until November 18. Pre-order online now or reserve at your local EB Games or GameStop.
whelp, that all but seals the fate of the Wii version. Guess Wii owners STILL have no reason to look outside of the Guitar Hero franchise for that system. Way to go MTV.Struct09 said:I got this e-mail this morning from EBGames:
Damnit, I was hoping those were just placeholder dates. It will be impossible for me to hold out a whole month for the 360 bundle

Wow, that's pretty surprising, if correct. Wasn't everyone expecting the opposite (bundle releasing first, then stand-alone game)? I really want the bundle, but I don't think I could possibly wait a month... who could? I guess I'll play with my old instruments for a while, then buy them separately at release? Ehh...Struct09 said:I got this e-mail this morning from EBGames:

pretty much what I'm doing. I really have very little interest in investing in more RB hardware sight unseen, and unless the guitar offers any improvement over the current GH3 Les Pauls all I'll be looking at is replacing my currently minorly broken RB1 drum kit with an RB2 kit (and probably cymbals) and be set.vatstep said:Wow, that's pretty surprising, if correct.
