I thought freezepop was reviled around these parts.

And I must admit, Brainpower is one big steamy pile of shit.

I frown upon your statements.

By the way, a big fucking THANK YOU to BenjaminBirdie and krypt0nian... you excitement for Lush songs made me look for the band. Holy shit they are awesome. I've been hearing Gala all day and I can't get enough. I was a complete stranger to shoegazing... and now my eyes have been opened.

Devo better be in for real. I would like to ability to make my character with an energy dome.

Also the Beastie Boys song should be Gratitude not So Whatcha Want.

Bodhisattva will be the best guitar song ever released for a music game.

The fact that it took this long is a crime.

HOLY CRAP at that updated list. ALEX CHILTON AND TEENAGE RIOT! I was a bit underwhelmed at first but two of my all time faves plus dinosaur, mac, mastadon, acdc have upped my hype considerably.

This. Now add Reelin in the Years and Do it Again for DLC.

awesome set of songs... :( at the choice of the song for Mastodon though. It is imo probably the most boring Mastodon song.

What an awful choice for an AC/DC song. If that set list is real, I'm fairly disappointed. There are some good tracks on there, but there are too many I'm not going to be able to stand playing. And how the fuck are Queen not in this, they were in GH1 for god sake. No Freezepop gives me hope that it's fake though.

As a PS3 only owner from Europe, is this something I should be remotely excited for, or will it go a couple of years before I can play this game. With no explanation from the developers on why they don't send it overseas....

Teenage Riot? Dinosaur Jr? Replacements?

I don't really care for that song either... but considering they're in the game to begin with and are essentially guaranteed a DLC pack, plus when you look at all the other songs and bands in this game (and will probably get DLC as well), it's fucking amazing and you really couldn't ask for much more. Queen not being in sucks, but when they're adding Dream Theater and AC/DC it's not that big of a deal.

this.

I have been craving some steely dan since I first played Rock Band. This was one of my choices!

Any Major Dude next please.

Also needs some Jimmy Eat World (clarity or bleed american only).

AND MOTHERFUCKING PRINCE PLEASE. too bad it won't happen. It would be bad assed if they could convince him to re-record some of his hits with extended guitar solos. I would pay dollars a track for that shit.

EDIT: also boooo-urns at getting Beck and picking E-Pro ick.

Pretty much. I would've loved something from the first record, or "Seabeast" (if only for that absolutely crushing outro-riff).

Also, if Freezepop isn't in the game, I wouldn't be TOO shocked. I can't think of many other songs that they could "guitar-ify" for use in an RB title. Maybe "Frontload" from the last record (which was terrible), or even just the version of "I Am Not Your Game Boy" from GHOT. Chances are they'll be in there, though, just for tradition's sake.

While scrolling through this page, I thought someone had mentioned Atari Teenage Riot as opposed to the song Teenage Riot. Man, that would have been awesome. Into the death!!!

I thought I was the only one who was still into them. Into the Death would be absolutely insane!

Yeah, pretty sure that 84 track list is fake now. (Although maybe not the 60 songs that came from before.)

The AFI song is actually titled "Girl's Not Grey" not "Girl's Gone Grey"

The Beck song "E-Pro" samples the Beastie Boys song "So Whatcha Want". The drums are identical. I really doubt they'd do that.

No Freezepop.

That has nothing to do with whether or not the song is in the game.

He's referring to the fact that they're both on the rumored list, so yes, it kinda does.

Whether it matters or not, who knows.

i got to say the list is a bit of a letdown if it happens to be true... and I agree with whomever said that if that's the ACDC song they worked so hard to get is a bad choice

I'm a bit more concerned by the fact that the GnR song doesn't seem to be a song that I can actually find anywhere. What is it from?

unless is from the 10 yrs in the making chinese democracy, is not a GNR song in any of their previews albums

WTF!? No Coldplay!!?? I guess Harmonix figures there still aren't enough talented amateurs to match licks with Jonny Buckland's guitar virtuosity!?

I'm really excited about a Bosstones song being in the game... First time any of the games had a ska song?

I'm kind of disappointed they picked "Stop!" by Against Me! since it's so repetitive, but still good.

Bad Religion and Dead Kennedys are a very welcome addition, I really hope this is true.

I probably shouldn't bother posting this in case this list turns out to be fake, but I figure someone might be interested:

Also: is Guns N' Roses "Shackler's Revenge" a real song? The only references I can find to it are copies of this list.

Coldplay probably take themselves too seriously to be in a music game.

It could be from Chinese Democracy.

There really isn't any hope for either. Call me when Tool releases their music on any online store.

Tool is in GHWT. I guess they don't blame Activision for being snubbed by Harmonix during the development of GH2.

Well Josh Homme is in colony of birchmen so it makes it a little better.

Dream Theater - Panic Attack
Judas Priest - Painkiller
Mastodon - Colony of Birchman
Megadeth - Peace Sells
Metallica - Battery

Does anyone have a towel, I just creamed all over myself.

Please let this be true.

Neither list has it 100% correct, then again, neither is totally wrong, either.

Also, Kids in America is Kim Wilde...should indicate something about both lists.
