Also, I missed Haley Atwell. Where was she in the movie?
Yup, sounds like it is an intentional reference to Phase 3 (and Dr. strange) according to Feige: http://screenrant.com/ant-man-spoilers-quantum-realm/I had a thought: since the quantum realm is a tie-in to Dr. Strange, and you can see Janet during the subatomic shrinking sequence, what if Rachel McAdams' role in that movie is actually Janet rescued by Strange?
Probably not, but I imagine Strange will be the link to bringing Janet back.
They've done that before with Iron Man 2 and Thor, so it's probably what happened. My takeaway from that it was literally just a scene from Civil War lifted out of context and dropped into here, rather than its own one-off scene shot specifically for Ant-Man. I don't think Civil War will begin with the search for Bucky all wrapped up.
99.99% sure she was in the scene at the start where Pym quits.
Are the ants friendly or are there some "scary" scenes. I have a kid, you know.
My daughter just recently turned six. We were in my car at a drive-in, so I didn't go through the normal routine of stressing how important it is to be quiet so as to not disturb other people and if she is scared to not look and so on. She didn't have any issues with any of the ants or anything being 'scary' and laughed quite a bit. The ants aren't super-grotesque or anything, they just look like ants. And most of the scenes where they are fucking someone up, they are seen as just small insects. YMMV, of course, but without knowing your child's age or temperament, I would still think your child would probably be fine. Are the ants friendly or are there some "scary" scenes. they also say the worda few times if that's an issue for you.shit- as in "I need you to steal some shit"
mcu seems to get away with "shit", "bitch" and "pussy" no problem
At least he didn't use love, he was just lucky.Interstellar.
To be fair, I WAS almost expecting him to use the love for his daughter to get back to the real world. The actual resolution came as a surprise of sorts. At least he didn't use love, he was just lucky.
I wasn't clear on Cross' motivation
Why was he so mad at Hank? Just because he hid the suit?
They also referenced the particles affecting his brain. Is that supposed to be what drove him crazy?

Heh, I just noticed that the trailers censor things. Like in the trailer they: "Need to steal some stuff." but in the movie they say: "Need to steal some shit."
Who's going to be the Wasp though? Janet is obviously still alive after all, so...
There was so much cool/fun scenes with shrinking.
Definitely seems like there is a ton of potential for a sequel.
I'd be more interested in a Ant-Man sequel than Hulk sequel at this point.
So erm, they could de-age Michael Douglas, age-up Haley Atwell, but they didn't bother to age-up Dominic Cooper and recast Howard Stark instead? Was he just unavailable for that cameo?

Well Scott has been shown as being very resourceful, and we also see him tweaking the suit on his own. Wouldn't be surpised if he made some preparation after he hear Pym story. The night club scene was pretty impressive, good sense of scale and nice use of sound mixing there
The way Scott came back from the quantum world though was kinda bullshit, he just replaces the stabiliser or something like that with an anti-shrinking weapon (I think) and poof it works.. I don't know. Quantum world and especially going there was well done though. Was hoping a post credit scene about him going super big or mastering going in and out of the quantum world. New wasp was cool enough but a bit too obvious.
John Slattery played Howard Stark first, in Iron Man 2, at approximately that age.

Wait that was supposed to be Stark?
One plot thing that bugged me, how did cops get tipped off when Cross invaded the house?

Cross isn't trying to be subtle I think. He want Lang to come to him. He just stand there waiting for Scott in Casey room. One plot thing that bugged me, how did cops get tipped off when Cross invaded the house?

When exactly does Howard Stark die in the MCU timeline? That scene at the beginning was 1989, so soon after that I'm guessing.
I wonder if it was from MilkdropThe movie was fucking amazing. My favorite Marvel movie by far. The subatomic scene was very psychedelic.
This + end credit scene may tie to Tony's motivation for Civil War1991

What would an ant-man sequel's villain be?

I would not complain if he just summarizes each movie on WHIH.I want a Luis my cousin scene in every Marvel movie from here on out.
