No. I bought mine from bb without a res.arnoldocastillo2003 said:I have one question that i need help please, the thing is next week i am going to miami to a business trip and i want to buy a Ipad 2, but i am worry that the store (bestbuy or walmart) won´t sell me one because i have read that you need to reserve one from the website before going to the store so that the store can sell you one, is this true, and i don´t plan to buy it from an apple store, thanks.

Oh dear, only use a microfiber one to clean it. I believe thats what the manual asks you to do.womp said:Damn hairline scratches already on my week old iPad 1. Funny thing is I think it was my cleaning rag that did it and not my 3 year old or wife. Still shocked considering it is a glass screen.
Oh well, can only notice them under bright light anyhow. Aren't viewable while using the iPad (Thank God).

Spiderjericho said:I was in Fort Lauderdale for the last two weeks (which is north of Miami), and boy, I couldn't really find too many Ipads. I bought a 32GB but brought it back because I want the 16GB.
It's still in short supply. I saw a 64GB 3G once, three 16GB 3G at a Target and a few other 3Gs at an Apple store.
Right now, I'd say the Ipad Gen 2 is the hottest consumer item right now. No offense to the 3DS, but you can find that anywhere and no one salivating or willing to sacrifice their first born for one.
You might be able to find one though. Apple store employees recommend you come in the early morning because lines form. The reservation method seems to be the sure fire way.
arnoldocastillo2003 said:Thank you very much, maybe the Ipad 2 with 3G version is getting more buys maybe, but the version i will look will be the normal with WIFI only and the 16GB, don´t have more money to buy a better one, man i hope that i will find one, at least in walmart.
I used a link in this thread that lead to another sites stock checker to find mine. It was totally accurate too. No idea how stock is as I got mine prior to the Japan earthquakearnoldocastillo2003 said:Thank you very much, do you think that there is still a waiting line for buying the ipad 2 or the stores are back to normality?

I've heard they ship faster than the quoted date. Might want to give it a try.Epix said:Does anyone know how long the shipments are taking from Apple.com? The site says 2-3 weeks but I was wondering if they're getting out any sooner than that?
It's the oleophobic coating I think. Happened to my iPad 1 and iPhone 4. It's just easier to scratch than glass.womp said:Damn hairline scratches already on my week old iPad 1. Do you guys have any email app recommendations for something that offers more functionality? Im mostly looking for something with a decent folder structure and junkmail filters, and would be willing to possibly pay extra for something with automated rule support.

I found a book on Kindle that's $39.99. Then I search for the book on iBook and it's $89.99. Is this common?
Charred Greyface said:Atomixmag, "The first videogame magazine designed specifically for the iPad" is great. I miss the 1up Show and Co-op so I hope this works out. Subscriptions will be available soon (the first iPad only content subscription I'll be signing up for) but for $1 an issue I'll definitely be buying every month.
I found a guide to convert videos to the specific format that iMovie for the iPad will support: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oF8-sDmD_1Y (yes, you have to follow the steps exactly, including importing the files to iPhoto on the Mac first). Wasted a few hours and it wasn't worth it imo.
I regret getting the 16GB iPad. I'm running out of space because if apps like djay, GarageBand and iMovie which need the media content to be available locally to work with (and of course I can't just stick in a harddrive when I need to swap out files). I'll have to find someone willing to make a trade so I can get the 32GB.
Your iPad is fucked. Take it back.Mohonky said:Alright so I finally got my iPad 2 today and I was really excited....till it came to hooking it up. I simply can not get the damn thing to connect to my PC.
I have Windows 7 64bit. Everytime I connect my iPad I get a "USB Device Not Recognised" error. I have tried everything I can think of. Different USB ports, different USB cable, uninstalled all Apple Software and reinstalled. Device manager initially picked it up as a Serial USB connection, went in and manually searched for drivers via Have Disk option, this gets the PC to read the iPad as an Apple Mobile Device usb, but I get a Code 10 error during installation and again, a little ! telling me that while Apple Mobile Device is connected, I still can't connect.
It's really pissing me off. My iPod Touch 3rd Gen connects flawlessly everytime, but this damn iPad 2 just will not connect. I've got the latest version of iTunes etc and I've uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times now.
Wtf is going here?

Rez said:All my Apple devices (iPhone , iPad and MacBook) have trouble staying connected wirelessly to my network. It's a Linksys modem. Basically, the wireless connection symbol stays visible, but eventually everything starts timing out and I have to either turn the wifi off and on on the device or I have to renew the lease.
I've tried upgrading and downgrading from WPA to WPA2 and my channel is 11.
Any suggestions?

http://www.9to5mac.com/60801/bloomb...pp-with-inexpensive-subscriptions/#more-60801The official Bloomberg Businessweek app for iPad app just launched with the unusual $0.77 price point for an introductory print subscription.
Other pricing subscription options include three bucks for four issues which is actually lower than the five bucks price at newsstands.

Flim Flam said:The GmailApp app, which I assume you are referring to, seems like it only works for a Gmail email account. I have hotmail if it matters.
hotmail's web interface is rather fantastic, actually.JesseZao said:I think it's ironic that you complained about something resembling an interface from 2007 and you are using hotmail.
Daaaaamn. That sucks. Maybe try returning it? Maybe they'll be nice and let you exchange it?RSTEIN said:Dropped my ipad2 from about 4 feet off the ground onto concrete. No protection or anything. It landed on the side so two corners are dented but other than that works perfectly.
