My bet: Current iPhone 5S will be the new 5C, filling that cheaper spot and for those that still want a smaller screen.
Oh man i would really love they would do that, i would buy a new 5C (with 5S internals) in an heartbeat.

I honestly don't know anyone that wears a watch anymore. Well other then my grandpa.
Are you new to english?Wat.
Ha
Those bezels. These phones are going to be gigantic.

Yep.
I'm hoping the watch has full Siri integration. The biggest complaint I have with the Pebble is a lack of input. Getting my text messages on a watch is nothing more than a novelty unless I can respond.
But you can already use Siri to respond to text messages and emails (well you certainly can if you jailbreak ~_^ ). If you have headphones then the phone can remain in your pocket while using Siri. How does the watch improve on that? Visual confirmation before Siri sends off the message? Perhaps, but that can be done with an optional notification and, besides, a large part of the Siri appeal was 'hands free'
You weren't wearing a watch all the time before you got the pebble, were you? Why not wear a headphone most of the time instead? You can get nice discreet headsets too; you're not limited to Beats by Dre or giant telemarketer headsets. Moreover, the likelihood is that if Siri were available you'd still want to use a headset with the iWatch else you'd appear like this:

It's not just that the character looks nerdy or spookish but any real life person is going to get 'gorilla arm' holding up their watch like that for any length of time just to interact with it via voice.
Then you have to take into account the battery life concerns, both on the phone and the watch (unless Apple does some magical kinetic energy thing with the watch so you never have to recharge it), which would increase greatly once you move from transferring simple character messages over the bluetooth connection to streaming audio. Because the iWatch would still have to rely on the phone to enable the Siri feature -- unless the watch itself has a direct connection to the internet which would be another battery hog... it all doesn't sound feasible.
I just spent a week at Disney World. If you stay at a Disney resort, you get "Magic Bands", which are wrist bands that have RFID and NFC embedded. They act as your room key, you can associate park tickets with them, you can tie a credit card to them & make food & merchandise purchases throughout the parks & resorts (you also have to type in a PIN number). You also use them for Fast Pass redemption (you can "reserve" time windows at the more popular attractions and bypass the normal, longer "standby" lines). They work with Disney's "Photo Pass" photographers who are throughout the parks -- they just take your picture & scan your band. Also, you know how they snap pictures of you when you're on thrill rides like roller coasters & such? The RFID in your band automatically associates it with your Photo Pass, so you can collect those pictures online later or as you leave the park.
They work really, really well, and completely sold me on the idea of wrist-mounted NFC. If the rumors about iWatch having NFC are true (and it's looking likely that they are), I'll be getting an iWatch mostly because of that.

Do you guys really give your phone commands in public? It's so damn awkward that I don't even bother. The same would be true for something on my wrist. I don't know if apple can change these social norms.I'm hoping the watch has full Siri integration. The biggest complaint I have with the Pebble is a lack of input. Further, I don't want people to know what I'm texting to people, where I'm going, or what music I'm listening to.
Yeah that's in private. That's fine. I'm taking in public.I use it most in the car or at home. The watch having siri would be amazing for responding to texts in the car. Have the watch read the text to you, and voice respond so you never have to look at it.
Sidenote: Is there a way on the phone to have siri read your voice text back to you? I love using it so I don't text while driving but you still have to look at the phone to make sure siri didn't fuck up the dictation.
Apple's own hype about "new" things.I thought the iWatch was a different event? What is leading everyone to believe they're showing more than the iPhone 6?
In public, I regularly ask Siri for sports scores.Yeah that's in private. That's fine. I'm taking in public.

5.5 size... Damn. I think I want for battery and awesome screen size. But my phone needs to be able to be in my pocket. Anyone stick Galaxy Notes in their pockets?
Either way I'm gettin a new one. Iphone 5 is still pretty solid but I got the itch
Wait, it still doesn't have that? Also Siri needs in app support. I want to tell siri to open spotify, play my workout playlist and to start a running session.
FUTURE
Would be nice but no phone has that as far as I'm aware.Wait, it still doesn't have that?
WTF.
Given the history of leaks... and Spigen's strength of brand. We have to conclude that this is the most accurate render of the phone that we have.

Siri or other voice input systems have no use to me outside my car or home.
So we guessing the 19th for launch for both? My plan runs out the 18th.![]()
Hopefully they do the phone stuff first. I work at 3PM Eastern on Tuesday which, if the event ends up being 2 hours long, will mean I may have to leave shortly before it's over. I'd much rather miss the end of the watch show than the phone part.
