Assassin's Creed Shadows 💮|OT|💮 Play Stealthy for Me |づ ╸ . •́ )メ

Good, hopefully they'll address ending complaints and give us an option to tweek the time between seasons cuz it happens way too fast and I don't like it. Like, I want to stay during summer and autumn for at least a couple of real days before the seasons start to change and then gradually transition to a new one within a couple of days as well, It'll be far more realistic than how it works in the game now. And remove fast travel season advancement ffs.

I stopped playing after being stuck playing as the woman for too long and lost interest. Maybe I did something wrong? I got as far as her failing for the third damn time to do her job. threw my hands up and said fuck it.

The way time moves in this game is quite bizarre in general. The idea of changing seasons is awesome and the implementation of the seasons is nothing short of amazing, but the way you both can and can't influence the progress of time feels very weird. You have a menu option to change seasons but only after an arbitrary amount of game time and only to specific intervals and it auto-switches whenever you reach a certain treshold which may feel like "natural" progression but the intervals increase with cutscenes and fast travel making seasons fly by in some cases.

If you add a dedicated menu button to "change seasons", at least give the player full control.

And this is all just ignoring the ingame lore/narrative implications; with the speed the seasons change this game takes place over de course of like 15 years, ingame time. Which is kind of bizarre on its own.

Did you really not turn in guaranteed assassinations???? And then blamed the game???

It's the default option and a huge chuck of the game's skill tree and loot system revolves around it. Only if you happen to know or stumble upon the option hidden in the menu would you even know it can be turned off - the game doesn't communicate this at all.

It was one of the first things I turned on.

What i am talking about is you'll have a main target and instead of that being one mission to go to x place and assassinate the person there will be anything between 3 - 5 immediate sub missions to do that are pointless box ticking exercises.

Worse than that is when you go to do one and it says "complete x or x sub mission clusters to progress" for instance you have to complete a Naoe circle mission before the main mission is eve accessible.

Then you have the level gating which of course you can go and do if your under levelled but not really because you'll have a boss fight and you'll get done in one swipe from a minion.

Game is tapped

Despite enjoying the game this is indeed a valid complaint as all the main targets follow the exact same rule and it gets worse with later ones as you're forced to go into battle with them or chase them through a linear path that the devs insist on instead of following the classic assassinate as you want. Luckily there's like 50 targets to assassinate as you want besides the main ones so, not that big of a deal.

I'm really trying to get across the game, but even only doing the main assassination quests is feeling like a damn fucking shore.

I currently can't play this more than 30 minutes.

Really disappointed about it. Too much repetitive from my tastes, and the story it's really uninteresting probably the worst of the series, I'm shocked how bland is it as their main characters. I will finish it after all but it's a pity a game which shine so much on ps5 pro graphically it's so mediocre. Starwars Outlaws although all the flaws is a far better balanced free roam and not a slog like this AC; but AC Odissey by the same team had exactly the same issue and it seems they haven't learned the lesson from the past.

Yap, I agree. It's graphical leap over the base PS5 is what made me pull the trigger on the Pro, and I don't regret that, but overall the game is a slog fest.

Struggling for time lately so it's taking a while for me to complete this. Coming back to it after a couple of weeks.

Quick question for anyone that's still playing or remembers, was the camera always set off centre to the left? If it was, I never noticed and now I can't stop noticing it, it's fucking annoying, I can't find a way to change it either

PATCH HIGHLIGHTS

"Thrown to the Dogs" Quest Unlocked

With this update, all players will receive access to the pre-order bonus quest, "Thrown to the Dogs". Help a loyal dog avenge his late master and unlock Tsuki-maru as a pet to place in your Hideout.

The quest is available in early game, once you have completed "From Spark to Flame". It can be found at the Tennoji Temple, outside of Osaka.

SPECIAL COLLABORATIONS

Dead By Daylight Event

We're excited to unveil our first special collaboration with this new Dead by Daylight event coming to Assassin's Creed Shadows.

As villagers begin to disappear, Naoe becomes suspicious of the strange presence attacking the local people of Harima. To succeed, you will need to master unique mechanics and confront a formidable otherworldly threat...

This event comes with a new free quest that you can access from the Hideout upon unlocking Yasuke as a playable character. Once the event is completed, you will obtain a free trinket and banner.

You will also be able to further personalize your two characters with a Dead by Daylight-inspired pack in the store, featuring outfits, weapons, trinkets, and the chance to ride off into the shadows with none other than the loyal steed, Maurice.

Balatro Trinket

We are also adding a new trinket for Naoe, and an amulet for Yasuke called "Winning Hand" -- directly inspired by Balatro. These new items come with a legendary perk that gives you a chance to trigger a random affliction effect on combo enders.

Now... you will need to work together to figure out how to get it!

PARKOUR IMPROVEMENTS

The team has prepared a bunch of improvements to enhance the parkour mechanics. We want to give a big thank you to all our dedicated parkour players for their ongoing feedback since launch.

Here are the main changes:

New Vertical Jump

We're adding a brand-new parkour interaction allowing both Naoe and Yasuke to jump and grab any ledge, awnings or overhangs within reach, reducing the need to rely on vertical wall-runs. To trigger it, simply press the jump button as you approach low overhangs, and your character will make the jump.

Sprint Toggle Lock

As long as the directional inputs are maintained, sprint no longer disengages when using Parkour Up or Parkour Down.

Enhanced Back and Side Ejects

We've also enhanced the distance and height of side & back ejects, favoring foot landings over hand landings. This includes new animations for Naoe when performing height-gaining side ejects, extending her capacity to remain high-up during parkour.

F the hate train conductor.
He jumps on whatever is disliked most at the moment.
The game is not that bad. It's very beautiful game with mid story and semi-mid mechanics that can be somewhat addicting. It's not a bad game at all.
It's a solid 6 or maybe even 7. My main problem was with story
Dude is such a lowlife man.

I agree with you guys. I like the game. The number stats were interesting tho to say the least.

I've been trying to push the main narrative in order to finish it, but holy fucking shit, there's just too many targets, and their quests are legit the same thing over and over and over again.

Even the side content it's a legit recycling of those same boring mechanics yet again.

I haven't dropped a single game that I'm slighty invest in a long time, I always find a way to somehow end it, but I think this is it.

This game is managing to suck out my gaming enjoyment time.

The dead by daylight mission was actually pretty neat, and the boss fight was crazy; I wonder if there is a way to replay it, if not I at least made a separate save for it.
