Bull. It was deceptive, and I say that in an industry where deception runs rampant. Ubisoft is just an egregious offender. If you want to see how to do an E3 reveal that's not the real game but still does a great job of portraying the actual final product look at Sunset Overdrive. They made it clear it was not the final product by the way. Ubi really just needs to start doing this instead of LYING to people. Those are your concerned source's words not mine.

Ubisoft is free to do a 1080p patch for PS4 as long as they didn't sign anything with Microsoft. I seriously doubt they would enter into some sort of formal accord to keep their game looking worse for arbitrary reasons.
It would be the best twist that I was the Ubisoft PR person all along.

Well, I saw a presentation of a live demo (100% live, proven by the fact the assassination didn't trigger properly, which fucked up the mission and forced the Ubi-employee (which was a woman by the way, take that internet ;D) to quit the demo earlier than intended). I guess Busigkatt played an early, unoptimized build of the full game, while my impressions obviously come from what was just a small slice of the game they optimized for Gamescom specifically (but I'm pretty sure was pulled from the main game, not some pre-Alpha E3 demo). Mine was shown on a PC, his on a unspecified home console.
If I were to draw a conclusion from both his and mine impressions it is that the PC-version should look fine (optimization is another thing entirely) at the very least, and we'll have to wait and see the final console release in action before judging that version. I can't see the PS4 version being 900p for parity AND have horrible framerate/pop-in/etc unless they really, really fucked up.
I've bought every AC game so far, AC2, AC:B twice each.
After this crap with AC:U, I will be buying Ubisoft games 'used' once they hit ~$30 or less now. I know it doesn't support the developers, but I can't support a publisher that doesn't give a shit about it's customers either.

Before judging though, I'd advise people to wait till the game releases in 10 - 11 days. I never believed UBI and their comments lol but going by the gameplay videos online, it looks pretty good to me. Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a day 1 patch, like most games today.
Edit: RE4 came before God Hand, let that sink in. You'd think the graphics would surpass RE4 or something. Infact, Gears of war came out a month after God Hand just to put things in prespective yet in some ways God Hand is a much more fun game than Gears of war ever was, single player wise.

No, you can control DOF and film grain and change colour filters but it doesn't enhance, details, texture, lighting, AA or any part of the graphics in anyway, thats how it looks minus the strong DOF.
The untouched version I have is actually cleaner then that.
The options in TLOU and even Infamous are linked to the in-game engine, photomode is just letting you adjust them to your liking, it's not like GT or Forza.

They are not comparable as I stated above but people talking about graphics so much makes me wonder what people thought at that time of God Hand, which looked like shit and most likely alot of people never really gave it a chance. Only those that did knew that it was actually a good if not great game.
However, I am also not comparing it's gameplay to AC. I am just coming at this from a graphics perspective since that is what everybody is talking about, isn't it?

But they won't..i can all ready see E3 next year again tricking people with bullshots and trailers that do not promise the final or in any other way.
Then *shrug*. Plenty of other games in the sea, and they most likely won't be as tedious to play as most of the AC games are anyway. I'm an easy guy to please, just respect the consumers and I'm OK.

Yeah no way The Division or Rainbow Six Siege look anything like their reveals knowing Ubi. I hope I'm wrong though as I actually really enjoy most of their franchises. I'm just tired of the lying from them.

So the next Splinter Cell or R6 gets no love simply because they are a Ubisoft joint? It makes sense to say no to AC games. Not really. It was always known that God Hand just looks bad but was really fun to play. AC:U so far appears to be downgraded, as per usual with UBI titles lol. However, what are you expecting from an AC game if it won't play like the rest but with improvements here and there? I think the best thing the game has going for it is 4 player co-op which is new to the series and the playing different timelines + characters thing which is also new, Infact it's the aspect i'm most excited about. Guy who's uploading the video commented on the framerate.
Rather steady framerate, I just had two slight "lag" during a cutscene and during gameplay, but the time to do my reflection cétait already ended.
for video, 260MB of 350, 40 minutes remaining ... I will have to cancel the transfer and try again on an external HD if I want to play tonight lol xD
Very good to hear that the framerate has minimal problems as that's what I was worried about the most.

Even if Ubisoft didn't, people will still rip their shit because people will always expect more and better. It's just that they did and lied which is why the reaction from people is over the top. I don't blame the people though but damn, some are insane. After all this talk even if the game turned out to look great, you'd think they will buy the game? some of them are never intending on buying the game. Looking good or not was never relevant.
