I have some scars on my forehead and a chipped tooth.

Basically long story short, walking around on a Thursday night (around 10:30pm) in my home city, just me and a friend leaving a bar and we were about 150m down the road (admittedly I was quite drunk, so likely looked an easy target). This car pulled up, one guy got out punched me in the face so i fell over, ran back to the car, another guy got out came and punched me a few times, ran back to the car, and this happened for the next 5 -10 mins, all 5 of them in the car got out and took a hit at me.

I blacked out and don't remember anything (last memory is leaving the bar, first memory is in the taxi covered in blood on the way to the hospital)

I had no idea who the guys were, they said nothing to me, ie no "wheres my money bitch" or "give me your wallet" they all just took their shots at me then drove off.

That's looks okay. However, I'm looking for a game that's quite a bit longer and has a lot more personality. Any suggestions?

What the fuck? That's horrible and I'm sorry to hear it. Quick question, what was your friend doing during this time? Did they hurt him, too?

no, thankfully they left her the fuck alone.

It's stories like this that join the other host of reasons why I don't go out drinking.

I hope it doesn't adversely affect your behaviour, HolyCheck.

Sounds like my story from the Geelong Hawks grand final night. Well, until we found out that my best mates ex had shacked up with a shitty little gang in Geelong and then dumped the gangstar who decided to take it out on my mate, unfortunately I stepped in and got a few bruises from 6 or 7 guys. Nothing broken, just a blood lip and a shitload of bruises. Quite sad that was all they could throw up.

Also now I will avoid Adelaide.

this game is pretty alright. It's kinda portal 2, but half the length and with none of the personality. The puzzles are fun.
inMomentum is pretty unrelated but awesome. Also Rochard. Maybe The Ball too but I have never played.

Shan, you should play Katawa Shoujo

The downside to using tumblr feeds of k-fashion and j-fashion enthusiasts for drawing inspiration is that all the poses are from like... people posing for cameras. It's stylish as fuck but there's very little 'realistic' poses that would work in a manga or something that I need to practice drawing.

Also I think everybody reblogging these things is a 16 year old girl or something

Fucking late for work again. Christ I'm useless. Uuugh. I have nobody but myself to blame for the shit I'm going to get in.

So turns out Real Steel was the best movie of last year. Even my gf who begrudgingly watched it as there was nothing on TV tonight found it to be great. I will even go out on a limb and say one day it will end up on the National Film Registry.

Expertly written and directed, I really did not expect it to be so spot on all the way through. It bridges the gap between summer Hollywood blockbuster and crowd pleasing drama that really does have everything for everyone. It takes a strong suspension of disbelief since it is ROBOTS FIGHTING of course.
A few missteps but that was more to cover all the bases and you could TELL that they did it on purpose. The robot used as a tool angle was downplayed but a few scenes made it obvious that it was a take on how boxers are used up as pieces of meat to make money for everyone around them. They didn't take the road of showing the sad robot though which is great, since it is a fucking robot. Doesn't make Real Steel 2 much easier to write though. 3rd quarter was a bit off but the 4th quarter was 100% Rocky influenced and worked extremely well for it.
The best thing about the whole movie was about how it was 10 years in the future or something but didn't have any futuristic bullshit aside from fighting robots. Makes it a more timeless movie.

Horrible movie, just really bummed everyone out. Not suitable for kids AT ALL. Very well made movie but it is everything I want to steer my child away from. It is the kind of movie that really does show what a fucked up society we live in these days.

So I'm at the cinema to watch Sherlock and the ads have been going for 30 minutes. They have threatened to show more ads with Adam Sandler and twilight fuckwits.

This is probably why people will stop going to cinemas. I know I will.

Also wondering if there will be an intermission to show more ads. Also, only one trailer has been shown.

Yeha I was pleasently surprised by real steal, no one really thought it would be anything, but I quite enjoyed it!

and yes. but not horrible horrible.. horrible in how powerful it is ;_; (if you think it was a bad movie.. then boo for you)

I went to the premier in Adelaide of WtWtA and it was hilaruous, so many parents there with their kids aged like 5 - 10.

the kids near us during the chase scene (which is fucking horrific) were screaming.

edit: lets not even think about the good bye scene.. or the horrific jump on snow igloo scenes!

GMG sale this week

Deus Ex 3 for $12.50 (probably been cheaper but can't remember right now)
Football Manager 2012 for $20
Beyond Good & Evil for $2.50

Similar to when you buy a DVD/Blu Ray and have to sit through 10 minutes of fucking ads even though you already paid $20 for the fcuking thing.
PIRATES DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS SHIT! THEY JUST CLICK ON A MOVIE AND GO!

People have things to do, don't turn it into an all night thing.

Yeah we went to the first screening in Geelong expecting a light hearted time. As soon as I saw Spike Jonze on the screen I started to get worried. Didn't want something that heavy! Well made movie that makes me worry like shit for my son. As if we hadn't already fucked this world up enough for him now I stress too much over how he will come out of his childhood!

I've just watched the trailer.. and now I feel like crpa.. I've also decided i'm moving it into my top 10 films. which means I need to buy it on blu-ray.. and never watch it.

Yeah, it's not really a film for kids lol. it's a film about being a kid.

Whoa there were like a billion people in the city tonight, some sort of festival or something. Mostly weird looking folk as well. Drove past some super tall chick and there were two dudes peeking up her skirt:/

Still can't decide if I love or hate Dark Souls
Post's like these remind me that I really need to start playing the copy of Demon's Souls that's been gathering dust on my shelf for ~6 months. :(

Still waiting on Dark Souls from Zavvi. Still waiting... I heard Blight town is pretty bad. Maybe I should have held out for the PC version that we are meant to be begging those Namco fuckers for. God that is so stupid. Why are we begging to give them money?

Yeah, it's not really a film for kids lol. it's a film about being a kid.

It is a film about the most depressing way to approach childhood. Not all children are affected in the same way. I appreciated the movie but I wouldn't say it was brilliant or anything. Certainly put it behind his other 2 movies.

I saw it through different eyes lol.

My parents seperated around that age. my parents saw new partners around that age... i even ran away to a park one time :(

Yeah it hit too close to home, understandable. Which is why I knew it was a good movie, just a little.... defined it what it was trying to accomplish. Just thought it was the first time I found him to be trying to be tricky to hit a soft spot rather than making some mindblowing statements. James Gandolfini was incredibly well directed in his voice acting. Probably my favourite performance of 2009, incredibly powerful and drew out that almost childish pain that I was thinking of.

We had a mate of ours in primary school that was a dick to everyone and when everyone had an intervention out by the big arse stink tree in the school yard it was exactly the tone of voice I could feel reverberating around my head.

Play it with a faq open, that's what I did and it was still awesome. I think I might start doing the same for Dark Souls. I love how it's open and exploring is fun, but sometimes I just have no idea what I'm doing. I'm currently lost in the sewers and getting owned by some massive dragon thing with 6 legs:/

This movie has made $90 million dollars?!? It has a 3% fresh rating on RT. 2 years before this abomination Sandler made Funny People. I actually believed he was going to start making worthwhile movies again but it seems all he cares about is the money. Funny People didn't even make it's budget back! I hate this world.

Well that gives me incentive to go back and have another go!

That one is very manageable. Wait until it smashes it's face into the ground and then charges. When he's done charging you have a no-catch period of time to go crazy.

Best in Australia. Especially around the 3 min mark. Also this.

Settle for scornful indifference towards Adam Sandler.

The world has Grill'd. No way you can hate.
I don't know what to think. It is impossible to give my child the world I wish for it as society will not bend to my will. I cannot remove and replace as I see fit in society and it is against all that makes us human to think so in the first place. What am I to do? Our greatest strength as a race is also our undoing. All I can do is enjoy Sushi and scotch and play video games until the deck of cards falls, smiling gently to myself as the inevitable has happened and wait for the mob to tear my arms from their sockets in peaceful egotism.

lol I had JUST finished remembering these. The most PR the movie ever got. Just painful in how ineffective we are.

Grill'd is delicious, but I will forever hate them for tricking me into buying $2.50 sauce and not telling me. *shakes fist*

ugh, who would go see this?

I had a pretty awesome evening, even if it was short. Caught up with some friends from high school, got drunk and played kinect skiing (which is hilarious, by the way).

Retards, frankly.

James Packer has had gastric bypass surgery and is shedding weight with astounding speed.

This is lol.

More recently, in 2008, he reportedly flew in a nutrition specialist from the US to oversee his diet and purchased a $25,000 exercise machine, the Power Plate, which sends powerful vibrations through the body, ostensibly shaking the fat out.

$25,000 for this.

slide-proven-results-6jxjk.png

$25,000 for that.
Bartman Begins already did it.

Also old people.

EDIT: Crap, I assume it was that belt around the waist machine that jiggles. Also that chick has no need for that machine.

Also I wonder where his interests would end up if he passed away? Would be quite a few people taking an interest in that.
