Just got back from seeing it. Did not like it, there's just not much there worth talking about, all plot -- no real story, we don't get much out of our characters. Some of the music was quite good though, Lex's theme was really good -- I don't know if it's actually called that, but the running motif in his scenes was nice. Although the use of the Man of Steel slow-piano track was really overused I thought, and awkwardly barged itself into one scene in-particular. Some of the cinematography was pretty great, too -- it stood out most in the scenes without action. The character cameos were really fucking intrusive though, it was very awkward the way the wedged hints at future film stuff in there, reminded me a little of Age of Ultron's Infinity Gem exposition, really just doesn't work. The most interesting stuff is the political nature of Superman, and the way the movie handles the idea of terrorism, although by the time they get past the mid-point, it's just bombastic action again, there's absolutely no pay off to this set up. Oh and that massive dream sequence was just baffling, just completely unnecessary.
